Alex worked magic. I honestly have no clue how he manages to fix a pile of what looks like scraps into a fully functional bike. It had started to get dark and he insisted I go back inside after having spent practically the entire afternoon out on the lawn with him.

Nia hadn't come back yet and I knew why.

She wanted me to have 'alone time'.

Shes been trying to set me up with someone practically since we met. The fact that I always tried convincing her that I didn't need a guy to be happy didn't help get her off my back, ever.

I had to admit this afternoon was, different. I didn't feel like I was pushed into talking to him, our conversations were never forced, we could have quiet moments that didn't even feel awkward.

It just felt, comfortable.

I peeked out my window and I could see him rolling the sleeves up on his shirt. Maybe that shirt wasn't such a great idea to wear but then again, we didn't know this would happen. I couldn't help but watch him, he just looked interesting.

There was no other way to describe him. He was just interesting.

The night before he acted as if he wanted nothing to do with me. I thought he had hated me on the spot. I thought he felt obligated to help me back at the party.

Then there was today.

He just showed up at my door, practically a different person. He was caring, funny, patient. The complete opposite of what he seemed to be like just a couple hours before.

After I went back inside I took a quick shower and changed into a pair of pajama shorts with a plain tank top. I rolled my hair up into a messy bun and washed off any makeup I might have missed. Nia would slap me if she saws me looking so careless around a guy but I honestly felt comfortable.

I felt bad that it was because of me that his bike was turned into scraps, the least I could do was make it a little easier on him. I walked downstairs to the kitchen and looked through the little address book Nia and I kept in the kitchen. I picked up the phone and dialed the number to our favorite pizza place and ordered the usual, a large cheese pizza with cheese in the crust. Everyone loved the pizza that the cheese would just melt in your mouth and that's exactly what this one was like.

Once the order was done I hung the phone back on the hook and looked around the empty kitchen. I never realized how much I hated the quiet until Nia wasn't around to cut into it constantly. As much as I wanted to tape her mouth shut half of the time, I had to admit she kept me entertained.

"Having a lost in thought moment there?" I heard a voice cut me from my thoughts and I quickly turned around on my heels. I was practically chest to chest with Alex and my sudden spin had him take a quick step back.

"Did you know that there's this thing called making a noise?" I raised an eyebrow and crossed my arms across my chest.

"Did you know there's this thing called not getting lost in space?" He smirked and shot back at me.
