Britney's P.O.V
***************
I stood in front of my mirror and crossed my arms, I had work to do. My dirty blonde hair was tousled all over my head from constantly tossing and turning in bed the night before. My light blue, grey eyes felt like they had twenty pound weights over them dragging them down while I struggled to keep them open. My outfit was about as good as it could get for a typical Saturday night out, black skinny jeans and a simply white t shirt with a plain black crop top over, my signature white vans completing the look.
I picked up my brush and brushed through the knots, brining my hair back down to normal. I picked up my curling iron and twisted it around my hair a couple times giving me loose waves. Once my hair was under control I worked in my makeup. It was night out and we would be watching a movie so I decided to keep it simple. A thin black line of eyeliner over my eyes, a light coat of mascara, lip gloss, and a dash of mascara on the bottom of my eyes. I stepped back and smiled mentally patting myself on the back. I walked back outside of my room and skipped down the stairs looking around the living room for Nia. Nia and I had been best friends since we could talk, maybe even before who knows. Our parents were friends before us so when we became as close as we did it wasn't a surprise to anyone. She was taller than me, a lot taller than me. She stood at 5'7 while I stayed at 5'4. I've always loved my height though, I couldn't picture myself taller than how I already am.
"Nia, hurry up we're going to be late!" I sighed impatiently tapping my foot against the hardwood floor.
"Brit, you need to relax! Th movie doesn't start for a while, if we get there now we're just going to watch all the trailers and commercials." she rolled her eyes leaning against the wall.
"It's better than getting there too close to the time and ending up missing the beginning!" I pouted out my bottom lip and batted my lashes at her holding my hands under my chin.
If there was one thing I knew about her, it was that she couldn't resist my puppy face.
"Fine." she grumbled and snatched her purse from the table beside her walking down the stairs to meet me.
"I love you." I laughed hugging her tightly before running to the door, not forgetting to pick up my phone and slip it in my pocket before heading out the door.
"I'll drive!" she called out to me shutting the door behind her but I was already standing beside the car waiting for her to open the door for me.
"You must really like this movie." she smiled clicking the button on the remote attached to her keys and unlocked the car for me.
I smiled and opened the door slipping into the passenger seat making sure to click my seatbelt.
"It's 'Evil Dead' you can't even watch it unless you're eighteen, do you know how amazing it must be!" I smiled jumping in my seat excitedly. I've always loved horror movies, yeah I jump and throw my hands over my eyes so I can watch through the gaps in my fingers, but I love them. I love the rush you get, I love watching them and just feeling like you're in the movie. For just a shirt while you feel excited, scared, worried, and relieved, all in one horror movie. Then of course the movie ends and you go home, realizing that nine if that could ever happen and that you have to live a typical everyday life.
As crazy as it might sound, I wouldn't mind getting chased by a psycho killer, just to have one exciting moment in life.
"Alright, movie time." Nia smiled starting up the ignition, the sound of the engine roaring jolting me from my thoughts.
"Finally!" I exclaimed happily clapping my hands as she pulled out of the driveway.
I plugged in my headphones and clicked on the music from my phone turning up the volume while she listened to her favorite radio station, it was our natural routine. I clicked the first song on my playlist, 'Spacebound' by Eminem and let it go on from there. I looked out the window and lost myself in my music. I watched the usual scenery whirl past me as we drove down the familiar roads. I've been living in the same small town my entire life. It had a simple plain name, AltonWood. The founder of the the town was names Alexander Alton, and well all you would find here was woods, woods, and more woods. Although the name was plain and made it seem like a small boring town, it was anything but.
