Be Mine

Chapter Four

After convincing Amber for an exact 30 minutes of time and comforting her that nothing that bad will happen, she finally calmed down.

Zara decided to take Amber to an ice cream parlor to take her mind off of things as Grace started to drive back home after dropping them off.

She was tired- even too tired for ice cream.

She started humming as she drove down the road, wanting to take her mind off from such a hectic day she had.

She tuned in the music player in her car and to her surprise, "How deep is your love" By Calvin Harris was playing. She loved that song, it was super catchy!

She finally arrived at her place. She got out of the car, closing the car door shut behind her but not before turning the music off. Making sure that the door got locked, she turned around but something caught her eye.

There was a black car, a pretty nice one infact, standing just a few feet away from Grace's house.

She scrunched her eye brows, trying to makeout the person who was sitting inside it. And Grace thought she went ballistic, because seeing that figure made Grace remember just only one person: Zayn.

Grace turned around quickly, forcing any thought related to him out of her mind.

She doesn't want to think about him. Not now.

Not ever.

Amber sighed for the umpteenth time as she heard another insult from Louis, followed by another roar of laughter.

When she dared to look, it was like the scene from yesterday replaying, except that today, there was no Zara or Grace by her side. As her teary eyes met with the same boy, the one with headphones, from yesterday while she was searching the crowd for her friends' faces, she pleaded with her eyes, for any sort of help.

She thought she saw his eyes widen for a moment, in realization that she wanted help, but then he turned his face away and started walking in the opposite direction.

"Hey Alex! Come on man, you're missing the fun!" shouted a guy towards the guy walking away and in response, the guy, now known as Alex, just waved his hand without turning or looking back.
Seemed the guys took the indication and got back to their business. Which was laughing and mocking me.
Amber sighed again. When they left, she proceeded to bawl her eyes out at one of the washroom stalls.
She decided to not let her friends know about this.

"Hiii Grace!" Zara said cheerfully as she sat down across from Grace and Amber took the seat next to Grace on the lunch table.

It was a new day and its going pretty well.

Grace grinned at Zara then looked at Amber who gave a soft smile.

"How are you, Amber?"

"I'm fine Grace, don't worry." Amber said chuckling.

"Yeah, you should have seen her Grace," Zara poked in, "That girl, I swear. Nearly cost me a fortune, she literally finished a dozen cups of how many flavors of ice cream, even I lost count!"

Grace started to laugh as Amber rolled her eyes, but even she had a faint smile forming on her lips.

It made Grace happy to see Amber smile, to see her bestfriends be so happy again.

"Um, hey, Grace? Why is that guy looking at you so weirdly.." Amber trailed off as she nudged Grace by the side, making her give Amber a confused look before drifting her eyes to the direction Amber was staring at.
