Louis's breath hitched in his throat and he felt a cold wave in his chest, whereabouts his heart was located. He stared at the 10 letters for a while, trying to wrap his head around the meaning of them

Slowly, he raised his head to look at the boy sitting on his bed, and the look on Louis's face literally said "Are you serious because if you're not I swear to god I'll first kidnap and then sell your first born on Ebay for 5 pounds."

Harry nods, hosting that familiar smile on his face. He was clearly waiting for Louis to scream, hug and start cherishing him and promise to name his children after him, if he had time to have any.

But Louis wasn't really about to do that. For a second he wanted to, of course he did. But then his instincts kicked in, along with his manners.

" Harry I- I can't take that." His voice was calm and just tad too quiet considering that it was Louis speaking.

Harry's face fell, but somewhere in his visage could be seen that he had been expecting Louis to be hesitant.

"Why not?" His deep voice sounded in the room.

"Why? Are you really asking that?" Louis sighed deeply, crossing the room quickly with his little legs. He sat next to Harry, but kept a foot long distance between them. "Harry what you've done to me is just, way too much. I got to admit, I didn't really think so much on what was on the list when I agreed on filling it with you, but now I realize that- Harry these things are way too big things! I can't and I won't have you do these for me."

Louis felt like really crushed while letting these words out of his mind. Of course he wanted to fill all of the tasks. Of course he wanted to do them with someone like Harry. But he couldn't. He wanted to look at the situation like a kid, not understanding anything about the costs and dangers of the trip. He just wanted to accept the offer blue eyed, not thinking about that just few months ago Harry was a completely stranger and now he wants to go to Paris with him.

But he couldn't. He was 16 years old and he wasn't stupid.

"Louis, of course they are big, they are your biggest dreams,like...your... last wishes." Harry had probably taken a class for puppy eyes and gotten an A+ out of it. It was probably the only class he took and that's why Louis didn't have any glasses with him. The curly lad was looking at him with so pleading eyes, and even though the hint of pity was clear to Louis and he hated pitying, he ignored that and almost gave in. But only almost. He sighed yet again and shook his head at Harry.

"You've done more than enough for me. And I'm thankful! But you sure as hell are not wasting fortunes of money and your time on me on this big scale!"

Harry sighed in frustration, and set a hand on Louis's knee. Normally Louis would have probably freaked out and overthought about the meaning of that gesture, but now was not the time.

"No Louis, you don't get it do you? I want to fill these for you. I need to do that. " Harry emphasized with pleading eyes and Louis responded with a stern stare.

"And why is that?" Because really, it was the question that had been on his mind ever since they planted the tree. Why in the name of god would Harry help a stranger to fulfill his dreams, just because he was dying, because everybody died and there was nothing special in Louis.

"I-ugh!" Harry stammered, turning his head away. He closed his eyes and breathed out.

"Louis, I just do. I feel like you deserve them. And you do. God, you deserve so much more." Harry confessed and then turned to look at him again. Now his tone was almost like mother's, who was trying to reassure their children. "Louis, I have worked a lot in these past months for you. And me and your mother have especially worked on this Paris trip! And if you're worried about the money, it isn't only my money. It's your mothers, too."
