I woke up in a panic, sweat rolling down my face, the dream felt so real. They always feel so real. The word that always woke me up was still fresh in my mind, "MINE." I glanced at the clock and realized that I would be late for work if I didn't get a move on. Peeling off the sticky pajamas I hopped into the shower trying to scrub away the dream that feels so natural at this point. Hopefully getting ready for work will ease my tension.

I love my job, unlike most high schoolers. Most people thought that I just stood there and helped my uncle, but in reality, I had a 'special' job. I helped take away the pain and heal the animals.

I have special powers being a werewolf, we are not the Hollywood version, not the ones that win the love of some super pale girl. Yes we have mates, yes we have packs, and yes we do want to turn at the full moon sometimes but other than that we are just like humans. Promise!

Unfortunately, like human politics, it's mostly a boys game, but I have so many brothers that I learned how to protect myself for self-preservation. Most human girls had dolls when they were younger, you know what I had? Crossbows. Yes, I think my parents went insane when they gave their 8-year-old girl a crossbow. At least when Hunger Games came out I was super hyped.

Since I had so many brothers dating when out the window so I have to wait for my mate, I could be on my death bed and meet him so that is more of a downer. Sometimes I feel like humans have it easy since they can live in blissful ignorance.

We try and hide the fact that we have powers, 30% of ALL of the humans in the whole world know about us. My uncle was one of them, he technically isn't blood to us but he was adopted after his mother was attacked by one of the rogues who went insane.

Speaking of my uncle when I looked up my uncle looked stressed. He looked at me, "I need your help.. alone." Now I got my ass into gear I knew that some animal needed my help, my wolf howled in regret when she saw the poor little beagle on the table. "W-what's wrong with him?" I said sadly. He looked at the dog, "cancer."

He said grimly. I hovered my hand over the poor little dog when my uncle closed the door, he smiled then. We shared a look together we knew this was no big deal with me around, I could cure it in less than an hour. If it was just a human it could mean death for the poor cute dog.

I suited up in my scrubs over my school clothes, I put a mask on. I took a scalpel and started to cut right where the lump was, I managed to take it out. Then using my special wolfy powers I healed the surrounding cells. I took away all the pain and grimaced waiting for the tiny dog to wake up. 10.. 9.. 8.. 7.. I counted down. The dog rose up fast, she that's the thing about dogs when I heal them, they instantly heal. I look at him, "Whose dog is it?" I asked. He looked at me "Well no ones, I found this poor thing on the side of the road and knew he needed help so I brought him in here and was going to ask if you wanted him?" I jumped up and down, the dog wagged his tail, he was a caring Lil thing already.

I mean I did save his life but still, I hugged my uncle and changed out of my scrubs, I got a little bag of puppy food and a water bottle and some bowls. "Well, time to go to school," I said with a smile I knew my first-period teacher would take care of my dog while I took a half day. I held him and brought the bag of stuff I took from the vet's office.

I sat him in the passenger seat and took my camera, did I mention my parents are loaded from all these protecting the wolf shenanigans? We drove to the school while he happily pranced around his seat. When I got to the school I realized I was early, I ran up to the school building with my dog in my arms, I showed my gym teacher my puppy. She did react like every other normal girl would do, she screamed in joy while jumping up and down. "What's this little guys name?" She asked curiously, I decided on Max, she commented on how good of a name that was. "I don't think that anyone will mind if there's another dog in this school," I said and she laughed, it's true though everybody in this private school was a wolf. No one could be allergic to dogs so it wouldn't matter. I changed for gym while Mrs. Mason was holding my puppy, cooing at him, she couldn't have children which made her and all her students sad, so she took joy in her job and now my dog.
