Meeting the Other Family (edited)

A rushing Derek came out to meet us in the waiting room, "it's a girl." He said with a huge smile on his face, he looked as if those were his own kids. I really was nervous when everyone realized they were mates, I know that he is a good person who wouldn't judge Mia's situation but male wolves get possessive as Hell. 

I hugged my brother relief flowing through me, I always knew he wanted a big family. One to call his own, to raise, to protect. He kissed my head and nodded at Mark, Mark did the guy nod back and I just huffed. Guys were so hard to deal with sometimes. The lack of communication in this beautiful moment is not desirable.

I walked into the room Derek was walking towards, I saw a worn out, sweaty Mia and a little bundle in her arms. "What's her name?" I whispered to the room, not sure if Mia was up to even talking yet. The birth took about 4 hours, which seemed like forever but I knew that going into labor could take longer for humans.

"Katie Marie," she said back looking at the baby, of course, me being a girl I started crying softly. She always said she would name the baby after me but I thought that was just her pregnancy hormones leaking through. I smiled and Mark held me, this would be a moment that I would not forget, seeing the happy parents looking at their baby.

"I call godmother," I said with a laugh a couple of happy tears lingering on my cheeks.

"Wouldnt have it any other way my friend," she said back, I could hear the fatigue start to come to her, and so could Derek. He suggested that we go home so that Mia could rest. I agreed with him and after a wave to Mia, I walked out the door, through the waiting room and, and into my car.

Mark leaned back in his seat with his eyes shut "Well that was fun." he said and we just laughed as we drove away.  I couldn't help but think of what it would be like to have my own kid, I think for now I want to be the fun aunt.

"I think it's only fair." He yelled at me, obviously upset with me. Wow already getting into a fight, sounds like me.

"Well, I do not want to!" I said stubbornly, I stuck out my bottom lip in a put and looked at him with puppy dog eyes. I definately stole that look from Max. 

"Oh don't you dare give me that look missy!" He said practically pleading with me. I didn't know that one look could make him beg, I will have to remember that for another time.

"Fine," I said caving in, I was just nervous but he was right it was only fair to meet his family after he met mine. Hopefully, no one would go into labor when I met them. I already met his little brother and his mom. I knew that he had a bunch of brothers, well actually one more than me but it seems like a lot more. Plus all of my brothers were kinda in my range. Except for Derek who has always acted like he was 30 instead of his age.

Mark looked up at me and just smiled, thank you he mouthed at me. I hope he's satisfied with himself. Rolling my eyes I laid down with a huff. 

 I laid in his bed like saying yes was physically exhausting. Max jumped onto the bed to cuddle with me. Absentmindedly petting him I looked around his room, this was the first time that we were in here without a certain little brother busting in on us. His room was nice, I wasn't sure if it was clean because it normally was or because a girl lived in it now. His room was a darkish blue, with a huge king size bed with white sheets. I noticed a few purple accents were added to his room, I am guessing his mom wants me to feel like I am a part of it, but who knows. He had books scattered all over his room, some of them were classics which I personally enjoy a lot, I saw my book collection added on. Some of the same books that he had and of course my over the top cheesy romance books. There was a white desk with a laptop sitting on it, I noticed more books scattered around on it with a lot of notebooks on it also. His room was impressive to me. Someone watches HGTV.
