Chapter 3

Ben POV

Today is Andrew's birthday. He lives few houses away from my house and I already could hear the loud music booming across the street. Bet he's having fun there.

"Honey?! Janice is here!" my Mom shouted from the front door.

"Coming Mom!" I replied.

Janice and I are going for a movie marathon tonight since tomorrow is Saturday we don't need to worry about alarms and school stuff. TGIF, right? I grabbed my backpack and skipping steps on stairs.

 "Mom, we might be quite late so don't stay up waiting for me," I said as I kissed her on her cheeks.

"Okay, sweetie. Take care and be careful!" 

Janice wanted to walk to the cinema cause it's like a stone's away from my house and I could save the effort of asking my mom to drive us and pick us up.

"So what are we watching today?" I asked while looking at my shoes.

"A bunch of horror movies," she said with a sly grin on her face.

"Great. Don't even know why I signed up for this..." I mumbled the last part.

"Hey! Don't be a party pooper!" she said smacking my back.

"OW!" 

"Ha! Serves you right!"

"K"

I heard some loud music and I don't even need to see whose house is that. I turned away from Janice to take a look at Andrew's house. There were so many people and they seem to engulf the whole building, I can't even see his house anymore. The people are grinding on each other's bodies with a red cup in their hands, jumping and dancing to the rhythm of the song,

"Holy shit, his place is literally full of people," I said in awe.

"Luckily we didn't go to the party, we might end up drunk under a mountain of people, naked ones maybe."

I shrugged my shoulders and continue to make our way to the cinema.

We watched three horror movies in a go. I literally had to prop my eyes open with my hands in the last movie, I was so tired and I just wanted to sleep in the cinema but Janice smacked my arm every time she saw me falling asleep. The cinema is full of skin to skin smacking sound, I'm glad there weren't so many people in the cinema but it's still awkward. I bet my arm is redder than a chili pepper right now, hot and red.

After the few hours of torture, Janice and I separated our ways. Her house is at opposite direction of my house so I'm alone on the way back home. Andrew's house was still full of sweaty bodies, red cups, and loud music booming. I stopped for a while to see if I could spot Andrew in amidst of the jumping people.

It's hard to see from my distance so I walked over to the center of the road, keeping my distance from his house. Before I gave up, I saw him standing on the balcony, talking and laughing with a girl. I think her name is Yolanda, she is the leader of our school's cheerleader team, she's pretty and she loves to date jocks just to increase her popularity. She was laughing and talking to Andrew, with her arms around his waist. I felt like my heart has just shattered cause I heard pieces of glass dropped on the floor. 

A loud beeping sound made me jumped. 

"Hey boy! Stay off the road!" a man yelled at me, with his head sticking out of the car window.

"Sorry!" I said apologetically, bowing at him and moving to the side of the road at the same time.

I sighed. The jumping and loud music seem to be unaffected by the car horn. I felt a pair of eyes is burning a hole through my head.  I gasped when I saw who was it.

Andrew.

Andrew POV

My dad told me to invited my school mates for my birthday party in my house. I didn't expect THIS much of people to turned but whatever, it's my birthday so I can do what I want.

I'm standing on the balcony in front of my bedroom window, looking down to the ocean of sweaty bodies humping against each other. I grimaced at the sight of it, I'm not a big fan of parties but I wanted to celebrate this meaningful moment of me turning 18 and meeting my mate.

"Oh look who's here. Isn't this the birthday boy?" a voice behind me.

I turned and saw Yolanda standing at the patio door, walking towards me. She hugged me and gave me a kiss on the cheek. Oh did I forget to mention Yo's family is also werewolves, I totally forgot to. 

"Haha. Thanks, Yo." I smiled.

"So, found your mate yet?" Yo snaked an arm around my waist and pushed herself onto my body. My wolf disgusted by her actions and her smell.

"Definitely not you." I chuckled.

Her face became still and expressionless.

"BEEP!" a loud car horn rang.

I searched for the source of the car horn and there was a car in front of my house, the owner was yelling at someone to get off the road.

"Hey boy! Stay off the road!"

"Sorry..." a beautiful voice said sorrily.

I blanked out for a second and I saw the most beautiful eyes I have ever seen in my entire life. Deep blue eyes that drowned me, luscious pink lips that I wanted to taste, messy dark brown hair covering one of his gorgeous eyes. I scanned his whole body and.... wait what? HIS?! I rubbed my eyes and took a good look at the owner of the angelic face and I was stunned.

My mate is a boy.

"Drew? DREW?!" Yo shook me out of my thoughts.

"Huh? Oh sorry..."

I turned my head wanting to see him again, by the time I knew he was gone.

"Hey? You alright?" Yo asked, frowned.

"Y-yeah totally..."

I must find out who that boy was. No matter what.

Ben POV 

Oh god, that was the most terrifying and happy 1 minute in my entire life! I can't believe he was staring at me a-and checked me out...

I mentally slapped myself out of my thoughts. When I realized that he was staring at me, I was rooted to the spot. After who knows how long, Yolanda, or whatever the girl beside him was called, shook him and he tore his gaze from me. I came back to my sense and processing what just happened. Out of terror, I broke into a sprint and ran all the way home.

And now, I am in my bedroom lying on my bed, sweating like a mad dog and panting heavily. God, I really need to train my stamina some day. My legs were sore from the sprint and I'm lazy to move an inch. After a whole 10 minutes of spacing out, I changed to my PJs and returned to the position I was 10 minutes ago.

I was really tired but I couldn't fall asleep. I was still thinking about the incident just now. Under the moonlight, his face looks more defined. His chiseled cheekbones and jawline, his dark brown eyes that glow and somehow looked golden, his full kissable lips made me wanna run over there and eat his face off.

I imagined the kissing scenario, I blushed deeply and quickly shook away the thoughts I had in my mind. I shouldn't have my hopes too high, bigger my hopes are, bigger the disappointment is, I told myself mentally.

I looked at the bright, full moon outside the window and eventually fell into a deep sleep.
