Chapter 20

Andrew POV

Finally, I'm back in Texas. My skin is itching for my mate's touch and my ears can't wait to hear the voice I've longing to hear. Once the plane has landed, I dashed to Ben's house, wanting to give him a surprise.

I knocked on his house door. I sniffed the air and felt something's amiss, the scent was gone. The door finally opened.

"Oh hey. I didn't expect you to come Andrew." Mr Colins smiled.

"Nice to meet you Mr Colins. Is Ben in?"

His facial expression froze when I mentioned Ben's name. Something's definitely wrong.

"Uh... He's not here. For now." He stuttered.

"What do you mean?" I frowned.

"Well, he told us not to tell you but I think he left a note for you. There might be answers in it."

He went in and rummaged through the pile of letters on the dining table. He ran back to me with a baby blue colored envelop in his hand.

"There you go." He handed me the letter.

"Thanks. Sorry for bothering you." I walked back home.

I looked at the letter and it has five words on it.

To my big bad wolf

I have a bad feeling about this.

After taking a bath, I thought it was the time to open the letter. I took a letter opener and slotted it into the opening of the letter.

I swiped it across the length of the letter and took out the paper in it.

To Andrew:

By the time you're reading this, I might be gone. Far away from this place, maybe not that far. The reason I wrote this letter to you is to tell you that I'm gone, for our good. Please don't find me. I will always remember you, always. I will not forget the memories we had over the past month. Our first date. The kisses we had. The fireworks and the ring. I truly loved you with all my heart,
that's why I'm leaving. Find someone else that worth your time, please don't waste your precious time searching for me. I love you.

A tear dropped onto the paper, blurring the words. Hot tears rolling down my cheeks and onto the paper, turning the paper into a blue mess. I wiped away the tears and sniffed.

Why did he leave me? This is the only thought I had on my mind right now. I couldn't think of any answers right now, my wolf wanting to touch and embrace our mate right now, but we couldn't. We don't know where is he, he didn't even tell me where did he go.

Or maybe he did tell someone...

My eyes turned into bright gold. I shifted and dashed out of my house and into the forest.
