I open my eyes and yawn. My clock says 6:02. I roll over in bed, not wanting to get up. Then I remember, it's Friday.
For some reason, the morning seemed more beautiful than usual. I happily got and got ready.
I was so excited for tonight. Even though it could get both me and Scott in trouble, it's worth the risk.
----
I get dressed in a pretty casual outfit, but pack my outfit for the date in my gym bag.
I go downstairs and eat my normal breakfast.
"Goodmorning honey," my mom says as I'm eating my oatmeal.
"Goodmorning!" I reply, "so mom, tonight after school I'm going to Nikki's, okay?"
"Okay that's fine. Just let me know what time you're getting home."
"K, bye. Love you!"
I hurry to the front door, only to be stopped by Olivia.
"I'm taking you to school." She said pulling out the keys from her purse.
"Why?"
"Because that used to be my old highschool, and I want to say hi to Mrs. Webber." She said as we walked to the car.
"Who visits their highschool after they graduate? When I leave, I'm never going back."
"That's because you have no life." She said, trying to offend me.
I roll my eyes and get into the car.
___________________________________We finally arrive to school, and enter the office.
The principal, happens to be walking by.
"Goodmorning Eva!" She says cheerfully. Then she see's Olivia, and her total expression changes.
"Olivia." She nods her head and hurries away.
Olivia was not the nicest student.
I go to my councilor to get some papers, while my sister stands at the counter, chatting with the secretary.
As I'm taking to Mrs. Davis, I see Scott walk into the office with his leather satchel and morning coffee. We make eye contact, and he grins.
I finish my conversation and walk over to him.
"Morning!" I say, approaching him.
"Goodmorning Eva. Are you ready for the quiz?"
"Of course! I studied all night!" I say, very sarcastically.
We continue to talk for a few minutes when Olivia walks up to us.
"Eva, who's this." She says, flirtatiously. Obviously she was attracted to him. Who wouldn't be?
"This is my writing teacher." I say, irritated.
"Hello, I'm Scott Grant." He held out his hand.
"I'm Olivia, Eva's older sister." She smirked and shakes his hand.
They continued to talk, but my irritated self just left the office.
I decided to look for Nikki before class started.
---
"Hey Eva!" Nikki said as I walked up to the group of friends.
"Hey girl." I smile, "can I talk to you for a sec?"
"Sure." She replies as I pull her aside.
"So remember that guy I was telling you about?"
"Yeah, the older one?" She wiggled her eyebrow.
"Um, yeah, him." My cheeks began to warm up, "well we are supposed to hang out tonight, so I kinda told my mom that I was going over to your house..."
"Okay that's fine. I'll cover for you, but you have to tell me the deets about it later."
"I will, I will!" I said, so relived that she agreed.
The bell rung, indicating that we go to our class.
"We'll have fun, and text me!" She said, giving me a hug.
I waved to her and walked to my class.
----
"Your sister was nice." Scott said as he sat as his desk.
"Ugh, she's annoying." I roll my eyes.
The class was still getting settled in and talking to one another, so no one heard our conversation.
"Yeah, well she asked me for my number." He said smirking.
"No she didn't!" I said shocked, "she is literally SO annoying."
He chuckled. "So are you still up for tonight?"
"Yes." I grinned.
He got up and began the class. All I was thinking about was tonight.
Hopefully noting goes wrong.
