I wake up the next morning, tired as heck. I barely slept last night because all I could think about was what Nikki told me. I promised her that I'd end things for good with Scott, but was I actually capable of letting go?

I've decided to still attend the party with Scott, to cherish this last moment with him.

Putting me out of my trance, the large oak tree scraped against my window. I get out of bed and open the curtain.

I put the thought of letting him go aside and let the excitement fulfill me.

After brushing my teeth and washing my face, I go downstairs. My mom is making pancakes and Olivia is sitting on the couch, holding the cat.

"Smells good." I say entering the room and walking straight to the coffee pot.

"Any plans for tonight?" My mom asks, setting a pancake on a plate for me.

"Yeah, I'm actually going to a dinner party for a friend's birthday." I lie, feeling guilty.

"What friend?" Olivia asks, butting into the conversation.

"My friend... Kayla."

"Oh, well I don't want you home too late. You've been going  out a lot lately."

"Seriously mom? I'm going to be an adult in a few months."

"I know, but as a mother, it's my job to be overprotective."

"Whatever.." I roll my eyes and dig into my plate.

My mom and sister continued their own conversation while I was in my own world, thinking.

Scott was literally so gorgeous inside and out. Everything about him was intoxicatingly amazing. How could I just end it all? Yeah we might be a few years apart, but that doesn't mean anything. The feeling that I get when I see him, talk to him, love him, is a feeling that should not be forced to end.

"Hello... Earth to Eva!" Olivia waves her hand from across the table.

I snap out of it and look at her, "yeah, what?"

"What are stuck thinking about?"

"Mind your own business. I'm going to go get ready." I put my plate in the sink and march upstairs.

I set up all my makeup on my vanity and get the music going. Since tonight's occasion is slight fancier than usual, I decide to do a really glamorous makeup look. I contoured, highlighted my cheekbones, and even filled in my brows which I never do.

To top off the look, I glide on my new Kylie Lipkit in the color Mary Jo k. You can never go wrong with a classic red lips.

For my hair, I straightened it until it was silk straight, then parted it in the middle.

I was about to began searching my closet for an outfit when my phone began to ring.

Scott's name was flashing on the screen.

"Hey," I answer.

"What are you currently doing?"

"Just did my hair and makeup and currently trying to find an outfit."

"Well if you come over right now, I may or may not have a little surprise for you."

"Okay...." I reply with a small grin.

"See you in a bit." The call ended.

I leave my house and drive to Scott's, excited for what's in store.
