"Niall," Lauren giggled as Niall wrapped his arms around her waist as she stood at the stove. She was preparing food for her parent's New Year's Eve party later that night while her parents were at work. So far Niall wasn't making that super easy. He kept coming up behind her and kissing her neck. Lauren couldn't say that she minded, because she liked it. A lot.
Finally Lauren gave in and turned around in Niall's arms. She wrapped her arms around his neck and pressed her lips to his. She still couldn't get over how good it felt to kiss Niall. And in all honesty, she had been doing a lot of that the past few days.
On the counter Lauren's phone lit up with Nate's name, signaling a call. And just like every other call and text from him since Niall came to town, it too went unanswered. Lauren knew that it would eventually backfire, but she threw caution to the wind. She had waited too long for Niall to come around that she wasn't going to resist it. She loved Niall, and while she loved Nate, it wasn't the same. Niall was first and she wanted him to also be last.
"Should you get that?" Niall whispered when her phone went off a second time.
"My voicemail can get it." She whispered before placing her lips back on Niall's.
"Why do you have to make all of this food." Niall moaned in between kisses. "For once I don't want you to make food." Lauren giggled.
"Well you're in luck because that was the last of it." She reached and turned the stove off and placed her lips to his again. Niall was actually surprised that his confession had worked out this perfectly. He felt kind of bad that Lauren sort of forgot about her boyfriend, but he also sort of liked it. "Do you want to take this upstairs? My parents will be home soon." Lauren whispered onto his lips. Niall nodded and then picked her up in one swift motion.
They quickly made their way upstairs and her cell phone, with a new voicemail and text from Nate, lay on the counter forgotten.

"What are you going to do about you and Nate?" Elyse asked as she grabbed two sodas from the fridge. Lauren just shrugged. "Lauren."
"I don't know. I guess I'll just break up with him when we get back to LA. And I know that this is so terrible of me to go behind his back like this, but it just sort of happened."
"I forgive you." Elyse said and Lauren sighed in relief. Her best friend was known for always giving her a hard time. So it was nice that she was letting her off on this one. "It's kind of Nate's fault too. He's really stupid is he didn't realize that you weren't all the way in to it." Lauren laughed.
"Yeah, I guess." Elyse nodded in agreement and they made their way back to the living room. Lauren was spending the night at Elyse's house since her parent's were hosting a new year's party that she did not want to be a part of. It also helped that Niall was there too.
"The moon is gorgeous tonight, did you want to go outside and see it." Niall stood up as Lauren and Elyse emerged from the kitchen. He really just wanted to get Lauren alone. Lauren nodded and then Niall pulled her along out the front door. They stood on the driveway staring at the moon.
"It is really pretty." Lauren said in agreement. Niall looked at her.
"Not as pretty as you."
"Niall," she said with a giggle. "You always say the sweetest things."
"Only because they're true." Lauren laughed.
"It sounds like you're just trying to get me to kiss you?"
"Well, is it working?" Lauren looked at him and nodded as she bit her lips. Niall took that as his invitation. He felt like he was never going to get over how perfect it felt to kiss her.
