Two months later I was sitting with my grandmother and the girls going over the last details of my wedding that was to take place tomorrow.

“You don’t have a veil!” El exclaimed, going into panic mode over the last minute details.

     “I know. I just don’t like any.” I sighed.

“I swear you’re panicking more than Rain is.” Becs laughed.

“Oh goodness no. You’re head is way too big for a veil.” Grandma said, getting up and going through her closet before hobbling back to the bed. “You will wear the head piece I wore. Your mother wore it also.”

“It has cherry blossoms on it!” I gasped. “Thank you, it’s perfect.”

“Of course it has cherry blossoms. Where do you think your mother got her love of them from?” Grandma teased.

“Okay so lets go through the list one more time.” Hails said.

“Location. Cherry Blossom Park. Dress. Gorgeous silver with cherry blossoms. Shoes. Silver. Bouquets. Cherry Blossoms. Hair piece. Cherry Blossoms. Garter. Blue. Borrowed, blue, old, new. Check. Bridesmaids and dresses. Cherry Blossom pink. Ring. Check.” El read.

“Leave some cherry blossoms for some one else.” Becs laughed, I just stuck my tongue out at her.

“Go to bed girls, we have a long day ahead of us tomorrow.” Hails said, and we all saluted.

The next morning was chaos but the moment I stepped into view of Zayn it all was worth it. Grandma walked me slowly down the aisle, panting towards the end, I helped her sit after she pronounced that she was giving me away and turned back to Zayn. We went with a traditional service instead of writing our own vows. We blended a bit of both of our religions ceremonies together, which made for a unique wedding service.

Zayn and I flew off to have our honeymoon in Costa Rica, but cut it short because I received news that my grandma only had a few days left. Seeing her for the first time in a month shocked me, she had completely wasted away. I sat with her and before she passed told her that her great-grandchild was on the way.

She left us smiling. I called on my friend Hunter Hayes to help me through a New Orleans style funeral, knowing my grandma would love me sticking to her old traditions.

Hails and Liam got engaged about six months into my pregnancy and I made them swear to wait until I had the baby to have their wedding because I didn’t want to be the fat bridesmaid. Hails laughed and told me she didn’t want to be a fat bride, causing us all to squeal when she confirmed that she was pregnant.

El and Louis adopted a beautiful baby girl from Africa. They also adopted several four legged babies and lived happily in the house between mine and Zayn’s and Hails and Liam’s.

Harry stayed a bachelor, preferring to flirt around than join us all in settling down. Though I knew that he had his eye on someone and was banking on it not being too long before he did join us in a quieter life.

Niall met his princess. He started dating one of the directioners who came to a meet and greet and had slipped him her number. He was smitten with her from the start.

We all still wrote music and planned on recording it after we got settled down, but vowed not to do another yearlong tour for the rest of our career. We did a few local concerts whenever we could, but it wasn’t long before I was too big to play a guitar, much less dance around on stage.

I gave birth to a beautiful baby boy who we named Gene Walter Niall Malik after some of the important men in our life. Gene after my grandpa, Walter after his, and Niall after our best friend. The rest of the boys of course made me swear we would name our other kids after them. We obliged with the birth of our daughter who we named Lili (pronounce Lily), combining Liam and Louis, Harriette, after Harry, Malik. Lili was the trouble maker of all of our kids, we blamed it on her being named after Harry. We soon added another little girl who we named Bayley Elle Malik.

Five years after Zayn and I married we all agreed it was time to retire and live a quiet life, for the sake of our kids. We all pitched in and bought a ranch in Tennessee where we hid out for a few years, living in separate houses on the same property, before returning to London back to our old homes. Our last years were happy on
