Zayn Malik

I followed after the girls, nervously running my hand through my hair. Rain had talked a lot about how close she was to Dollie’s parents. Becs had told me if I ever wanted to marry Rain I’d have to not only ask her grandma, but also Don. While I wasn’t planning on asking for her hand in marriage anytime soon, it was nerve racking knowing that I was about to make my first impression.

“Mom! Daddy!” Rain yelped, launching herself into the arms of two older people who were waiting outside of the diner we had pulled up to.

“Molly, Don, meet Zayn, my boyfriend.” Rain smiled, pulling me over to them. They both welcomed me with hugs smiling and returning my greeting before turning to meet the other boys.

We all sat down around a large table laughing and talking. I smiled to myself, glad that this was going along better than I thought it would.

I laughed as Don interrogated Zayn and Liam jokingly asking what their intentions were. We all laughed as Don couldn’t keep a straight face while asking.

“I intend to make her very happy.” Zayn smiled, leaning towards me, grasping my hand. I smiled at him.

“You already do.” Everyone ‘awed’ us and laughed at my blush.

“I intend on convincing management that we should always tour together,” Harry declared, causing a cheer to go up.

“I intend to convince the girls to move to London with us!” Niall joked, “I can’t lose my Becsie!”

“Aw Niall! Of course I’ll marry you!” Becs laughed, leaning against her best friend.

“I intend to eat this entire cake!” Louis half-yelled, digging into the chocolate cake that was placed in front with him.

“I intend to kiss you every day” Liam smiled, pecking Hails’ nose. I gagged jokingly.

“EWWWW PDA!” Louis and Harry chanted together. Don and Molly left not long after, saying that they would catch up with us again soon.

“Hey, Rain, Simon just texted me, said we needed to get to the studio. Is that about the thing?” Hails said, raising her eyebrow, knowing that we weren’t allowed to reveal that I had written a song for Zayn and that we would be releasing it in another couple of weeks. The release date would be exactly three months from when Zayn and I had started dating.

“Yea. Excuse us gentlemen, we must get outta here!” I said, ignoring Zayn’s confused expression and pecking his cheek as I followed Hails to the car she had rented.

“I can’t believe our little Rainy-poo wrote a love song!” Becs squealed, skipping into the junky little studio we were going to be recording in.

“Lets do this quick, okay? I don’t like that I have to hide this from Zayn. I want to tell him already.” I sighed, slapping on headphones so I could hear myself.

“Let’s one-shot this!” Hails laughed, settling behind the drums, pulling out the drum part I had written out for her. Becs settled next to me, ready to play.

We were signaled to start and I lost myself. We ended up finishing the recording in one take, pleased with the outcome and not wanting to alter it. We left the studio to make our way to the venue where we would be playing. Apparently most of the fans in this area were One Direction fans. The thought of standing in front of a bunch of people who weren’t fans of my music shook me a little. I just reminded myself that this part of the tour was ours, we were headlining it and if people didn’t like that they could leave before our set. I locked myself in the dressing room, emotionally drained from recording and just wanting to sit. I could hear the boys killing it on stage, smiling at the thought of how happy Zayn always was on stage.
