Sang tried to pry her eyes open unsuccessfully. She felt too tired. She snuggled under the blanket. Surprised that she didn't feel any of the boys on the bed. Did they have a job?
"Cocka-doodle-doo"..... Something screamed next to her ear and she humped up on the bed, frantically looking around. Still sleepy to understand anything.
Sound of giggles and running feet reached her ears. "What the fuck Luke? Did you have to do that" she heard Gabriel yell.
"You better not scare baby" growled North.
They pushed Luke in to the bedroom to face a confused Sang.
"Why is there a chicken in the house North?" Sang asked in a confused voice.
Luke burst out laughing. Mr. Blackbourne's  lip turned up at the corner. "That was Mr. Taylor's way of giving you his present Ms. Sorenson".
Sang put her hand through her hair and pulled her nightshirt down. Thankful that she wore one of Kota's shirt to bed. It was big enough to cover her completely.
"He got me a chicken"? She was still confused.
"Not chicken princess. Look. On the bed side table". Victor told her. Turning around Sang saw a alarm clock on the table. It was round with big letters. There were replica of three chicken on the base of the clock all pecking the ground. Their colorful feathers spread out. Each detail visible.
" it's beautiful". She said. "Why would he get me an alarm clock. Do I make them late in the morning"?
"Come to the kitchen after you are done baby. We'll have breakfast ready" North pushed her towards the bathroom.
When she walked in the kitchen she found all of them there. North had a plate ready for her. She had eggs, toasts and bowl of fruit.

After breakfast everyone gathered at the living room. "So pumpkin< are you ready for today's adventure" Luke hugged her from behind.

Sang looked at everyone, putting her hand in her mouth. She hesitated. "What is it baby? You didn't like the trips? You want to stay home?" North came over, worried.

"No...its not that". She muttered."Everything was fun. I really liked it".

"What is it Ms. Sorenson"?

"You guys have been spending so much time here. None of you are doing any jobs. Won't you be in trouble at the academy"? she said softly.

She is extraordinary thought Owen, always thinking about others. "No Ms. Sorenson. We have taken a leave from the academy. we have enough favors to manage that."

"Enough of this shit" yelled Gabriel. "Lets go trouble, your closets waiting." getting a giggle out of Sang.

When they came back downstairs everyone was waiting for them. "Lets go princess" Victor offered her his arm. today she would ride with Victor an Nathan. Victor held open the passenger side Door. "I should ride in the back" Sang hesitated. Victor just smile at her and shook his head.

"Where are we Going"? Sang was getting excited.

"You"ll see". Nathan told her from the back seat.

After what seemed like an hour, they stopped. When she got out of the car Sang gasped. This was....everything Christmas rolled together. it was a Christmas fair. They had Santa's workshop with elves, candy stores where they are making the candy in front of you, Stores with all kinds of bright things; even a Ferris wheel with the cars shaped like Santa's sleigh. she was almost jumping up and down. Luke was no better. North had to hold him down to stop him from making a bee-line to the candy store. the others were openly laughing at the two of them.

This was by far the best day. they looked at everything, took every ride and bought almost everything. Sang found a store that sold personalized ornaments. she chose ten ornaments for the tree at Nathan's house. the boys bought her handmade scarves< after meeting with Gabriel's approval. A  throw for her bed. frames that she liked. And cake and candy....lots of them. Luke had a large bag that he was carrying.

"you better not give any to baby" warned North. Luke just turned around and winked at her.

Coming home Sang couldn't wait to put her ornaments on the tree. The boys decorated it, but she wanted something personal. Maybe she'll start a tradition, add one every year. People do that. She had a violin for Mr. Blackbourne. A piano for Victor. A star for North. A Superman sign for Silas. A circle with "forever" written inside for Luke. A paint brush for Gabriel. A boxing gloves for Nathan. A open Book with the number 1 written on it For Kota and a medical medal with "giggle curer" on it for Dr. Sean. they haven't seen the pieces. Sang wanted them to be a surprise so she went in alone. every one of the ornaments had the Boys name on it. even Mr. B and Dr. Sean. Owen and Sean. Sang was nervous about how they would take it.

she was humming while putting up the pieces. She caught herself singing loud..."the first day of Christmas my true love gave to me, a partridge...." Sang stopped what she was doing. Her eyes large.

"Whats wrong Sang?" Silas asked. They were all sitting around on the sofa. Except North who decided they had enough junk and needed healthy dinner. Sang jumped up and ran to her room. she looked at the clock on the table. the jewelry box on the dresser and the little tree. her eyes welled up.

"Sang! baby whats wrong"? North yelled. all of them were crowding around the door. Sang looked at them with tears in her eyes. she knew the tree was from the song but she didn't make the other connections till now.

"You gave me the three hens" she told Luke. "and you gave me the doves" she was crying openly.

"Told you she didn't figure it out" laughed Gabriel.

"Are you sad cupcake" Luke sounded worried.

Sang shook her head. "You Gave me the song" she wailed.

"We wanted to make this special for you" Sean hugged her. "We love you". all of them came over to give her a hug.

"Lets go have dinner" Mr. Blackbourne Announced.

Sang followed everyone bursting with happiness. She was lucky to have them.  She loved them.
