The Girl

I turned around to make sure the girl was alright.

"Hey are you fine," I asked walking over to where she was standing.

"I'm good; who are you," she asked in a kind of mean tone.

"Name's Alexis. What's yours," I responded.

"That's not important," she said with a mug on her face.

"Hey can you not be so mean. I did just save your ass," I said a little upset.

"I didn't need your help," she said looking me straight in the eye.

"Fine, but your welcome to come with me to go meet my friends," I said as nicely as I could.

"I don't need your help. I can do fine by myself," she said like I just didn't save her life.

From the looks of her, she really did look like she didn't need help. She about six foot tall and had a nice body build. Her eyes were a perfect hazel color and her face structure was fantastic. She kind of reminds me of Natalie. Her hair was a beautiful brown and flowed down to her shoulders. Besides the tattered clothes and dirt on her she looked pretty good, but her attitude is very shitty.

"What are you staring at. See something you like," she asked with her arms folded over her chest.

"Do what you want," I said walking away.

I started walking down the ruble and onto the street when I heard her call my name. I turned around to see what she wanted and was sent flying into the side of an abandoned car. A fake had managed to escape the destroyed building. Two green blast were launched into me and I felt like I would die. I didn't know what would happen, but I've seen what happened to a few people. There bodies shut down and the green stuff gets into their entire body and it is able to be seen spreading through their veins until they just stop breathing and moving. I just pray that doesn't happen to me.

I get up not feeling anything happen and go to help this mysterious girl. When I reach her she is fighting three fakes and she is doing pretty good. I also see that she is a super which would explain the good fighting. I see her fall and cut her leg on a metal beam. She starts backing away from the fakes. I yell and get their attention away from her. They start coming after me and I start running. I come to an overturned eighteen wheeler blocking my path and I jump over it and land on the other side. I get ready to start running again when I feel a sharp pain in my foot. I landed on a sharp piece of metal that came from the truck. I pull it out of my foot and start moving away from the truck just as the fakes jump over it. I move as far as possible away from the truck as I can and then I send a ball of fire it's way and it explodes sending me and the fakes flying.

I get up and dust myself off and look around for the fakes. I see two of them on the ground dead, but I don't see the third one. I start going back the way I came to get back to the girl when I meet a hand that goes into my chest. I look up and see the third fake. I grab his arm and try to pull it out, but it hurts too much. I see the green coming down his veins in his arm into my body. I don't feel anything and I stick my hand in his chest and disintegrate his body.

I look up and see what looks like the girl and my friends and I start calling out to them and going towards them. My foot is healed and I start running to them. They finally saw me and started coming towards me, but halfway there I fell to the ground and doubled over in pain. The girl reached me first and the last thing I saw was her eyes turn green just like a fake.
