Dylan's POV

 Dear Journal,                                                                               November 12th 2014

Right now I'm getting ready for my first day back to school since my 'incident'. I'm kinda nervous to see how people will treat me. Niall is going to pick me up on his way to the bus stop. I wish we could walk but it's a good mile away from our neighborhood.

   Wish me good luck,

Dylan Hamilton.

I finished tying my gray sneakers and slipped on my red and grey sleeved Varsity Jacket. My long red hair was pulled into a side ponytail that dangled down the side of my head and rested on my chest fully straightened. I wore a thin line of eye liner on my eyelids and some foundation as some light makeup. I stared in the mirror for what seemed like forever. I took note of my flaws including my bony stature and wide gap between my legs when I stood with my feet together. Some girls would kill for such a gap, but to me it meant I was too tiny. It's been getting worse because it's hard for me to eat. I don't know why, it just is.

I grabbed my book bag and headed outside. The crisp morning air greeted me with a wintry bite. It was changing from Fall to Winter and the temperature had begun to drop. I sat on the porch step and waited for my one and only friend. I pulled my phone out of my back pocket and slid the bar to unlock it. A picture of me and Niall appeared as my background that hid behind all my apps. I smiled as I remembered that day. It was when me and Niall had gone to get coffee the other day. He insisted on taking a picture with me under a pretty looking tree. It's leaves still had colorful leaves decorating its branches. The sun had been shining through it causing the yellow and orange leaves to turn golden and gorgeous. It was a cute picture. I clicked on my iMessage app, my recent text messages popping up on my screen. Just then Niall texted me.

Nialler: On my way:)

Me: Okay, i'm sitting on my porch.

I looked up at the rising sun, it's warm pink rays painted the morning sky. I smiled and ran my fingers through my bangs before taking in a long breath. The morning air was refreshing compared to my stuffy room.

"Good Morning." Niall greeted me as he strolled up the side walk.

"Good Morning." I mumbled through a yawn. I met him at the end of the driveway and walked beside him as we headed towards the bus stop.

"Someone looks sleepy." He chuckled as I slumped along.

" I don't want to go back to school." I whined.

"I know you don't, but you have to."

"Grrr." I growled as we approached the corner.

"Don't be so grouchy, everything is going to be okay." Niall smiled down at me before sitting down on the curb. I sighed and joined him. Just then Sophie and Mason showed up linked arms.

"Good Morning Dylan, Niall." Sophie smiled as they came to a stop.

"Good Morning." Me and Niall both said back. It was awkward having her speak to me, but at least she was being nice.

"How are you doing Dylan?" Sophie smiled what seemed to be a genuine smile.

"Better, thank you for asking." I smiled back.

"You look better." Mason smirked as he looked down at me. I could feel the awkward in the air. I guess they were not use to being nice to me.

"Thank you." I smiled before looking back down at the ground. The concrete was cold on my butt, but I was too numb to feel it.
