I freeze, and when I regain control, I press my lips harder onto his, responding with vigor, only hoping that no one is watching... The passion Eli puts into the kiss resonating deep within my heart. But he then pulls on my bottom lip, before releasing me. That escalated quickly....

"Where did that come from?" I ask him, breathless.
"I'd blame it on my crazy brain, but really it was just me. Sorry?" He replies, running a hand through his hair.
"Let's never do that again."
"Agreed."
"I hope you don't do spontaneous kissing often to people whom you don't know." I tease.

"Well, if you believe in love at first sight..." He trails off, wiggling his eyebrows at me. I roll my eyes at him and shake my head. He's a weird one. We walk out of that alley to the main pathway, lined with souvenir stalls and gondolas, along the river side.

"Okay, now that that's over, let's go and get ourselves some water bus tickets. We're going island hopping!" I look at him strangely before realizing...
"Where's Heathcliff?" Eli puts on an 'are you that dumb?' face.

"I know you're blonde, but seriously? All cats hate water. And for his case, he doesn't even like the look of deep waters." Hey, that's just mean. I don't even know how I ended up with blonde hair to be honest. Both my parents have brown hair, yet me and Eros turn out with platinum blonde hair. The science in that... Beats me. I give Eli back the same look he gave me.

"You never know. My aunt has a cat and it went against all the basic rules of a cat. It liked dogs, and it loved swimming in water."

"Well, it's not my problem you've got a fucked up cat." He replies, shrugging his shoulders casually.
"I thought we were going island hopping?" I grit out, clenching onto my bag to avoid kicking him where it hurts.

"Yea, we were. Until you pointed out that you're clearly a natural blonde and live up to the stereotype." He tilts his head, smirking at me before walking to the ticket booth. Argh! He is driving me crazy!

First stop, Murano. The city of where Murano glass originated from. Yea, it's really self explanatory.
"You've got everything you need?" Eli asks at the waiting area for the water bus.
"Yea. I should." I open my bag to check. Sunglasses, dry shampoo, body mist, my wallet, and all my other junk.
"Yep, I do."
"Good. Cause our ride is here." He says and I look out and see a boat coming up.

The scenery is just to die for. Crystal clear waters splash around the sides of the boat as it speeds across it, causing white foam to bubble up on the surface behind it, trailing a path of bubbles. And the brick ancient buildings on the islands behind it gives the view some color and a historical vibe to it.

If I wasn't on this moving white boat right now, I would definitely feel like I've just travelled back in time. The buildings and towers are all well preserved. Analise would've loved this. She's my best friend and my cousin and wish she were here. She always did love history and reads up so much on all the different royal families from around Europe.

"We're here." Eli sings, and it snaps me out of my day dream. And right he is. The boat comes to a stop and I see a relatively small stop area, one like the one in main land Venice, just a tiny bit bigger. Everyone huddles near the exit to get out and Eli holds onto my hand.

"Keep close, you could get lost." He says.
"I'm sure I can do that on my own. Besides, if I ever get lost I'll find my way.... Eventually." And I pull my hand out of his. Only to be met with his glare and his hand gripping even tighter into mine
"I mean it."

"And I mean it too" I pout, walking out onto the platform by myself, putting my 7 day pass card back into my wallet. Wow. The houses here are so pretty, and colorful. I walk towards the stalls standing in line, in front of the houses, tents over the items they're selling.

"Hera, you're going the wrong way, let's go see the glass making first before we buy the glass things." I roll my eyes. But that does sound very interesting, so I turn back around and follow him to the other side.

Eli leads me into a big wooden barn that looks like a warehouse and pays 3 Euros for us each to watch the making of the glass. The seats along the right side of the barn is already filled with people, but luckily, there was still enough space in front for the two of us.

"You'll love this. I've been here a couple of times and your mind will be blown." He tells me, taking a seat. I think that we came halfway through the show already because he's halfway through moulding the glass, that's heated up and has a red and orange hue. He's holding the big chunk of glass on a large metal stick and using a tweezers like thing to pull it out in different directions.

"He's making a horse. Can you-"
"Shut up." I say, covering his mouth. And he pulls my hand away.

"Fine." Oh my god he's right. It is a horse. How the hell? When the glass at the end cools off, it becomes transparent once again and you can see the head and half body of the horse as the maker continues to finish it. If I had a choice, I would sit here and watch him do this all day. It's so fascinating.

"So, I was right wasn't I? You loved it." Eli asks.
"It was awesome!" I have no reason to argue with him right now cause that was really one of the best things I've ever seen.

"Now, let's go and check out the goods." We walk back to where all the small shops were and he takes me to one further down along the river that has bridges going across to the other side, lined with places to eat.

The glass shop is filled with different colors, sizes and types of items. There are even water jugs, snow globes and jewelry. What makes it even more beautiful is when the sunlight from outside shines in onto the glass. It reflects the light around the shop off of all the other glass pieces and they all look like glinting crystals. I pick out one sapphire blue marble-effect glass heart necklace that sparkles. It's gorgeous.

"You getting that?" Eli asks, looking over at me from the counter, where he's taking a look at one of the glass jugs, talking to the shop owner in fluent Italian.

"Are you getting that?" I ask him back, nodding at the jug. He gives it a glance before turning his head back to me.
"Yea probably... For my mom." I raise my eyebrows. Hmm.
"Cool. I'm getting this too." I say, raising up the necklace. And Eli grins.
"Good choice."

We pay for the items and Eli thanks the shop owners before we leave. I added a gondola figurine in too, for Eros in case he wanted anything. I didn't buy anything for Analise though, I don't think she'll appreciate such things. Maybe I'll find her a leather book and feather pen or something.

"Let's go and have lunch before we go to Burano. I'm a bit peckish."
"Burano? It's different from Murano?" He laughs.
"Of course it is. One letter can make a big difference. This place is famous for glass. But Burano is known for lace and cloth materials." He explains. I make an 'o' with my mouth and nod my head.
"It's already two thirty, hurry up slow poke."
