#Eli's cat# ^

Hello ^-^, it's been a while, sorry about that. I thought it'll be easier updating both books at the time, but I couldn't wait to update this, so here it is! The next chapter. I hope you all like it and that it was worth the wait

This can't get worse. Having to get drinks for our so called guest, Eli. Not only that, but when I come out of the kitchen, he's already made himself comfortable on the couch in the living room, lying side ways, snickering at me. And I almost throw the water in his face.

"Thank you princess." He says, sitting upright when I put the drink down on the table. I grit my teeth together and narrow my eyes at him before retreating back to my room in case my grandparents just decide it'll be a good time to get me to get to know Eli. On the way up, I bump into Eros, who was running down without looking carefully. I can't even bother, I just growl at him before continuing to walk up. I'm pretty sure my eyes are dark blue right now. I'm so pissed.

Few moments later~
"Hera honey! Don't be so anti social, come down and join us." I hear my grandma say from down stairs. I grumble but do so anyways. I mean, I can't not listen to her, she's already like one of the nicest people I know, besides, it can't be all that bad...

"See, I told you she was angry. She looked hilarious when I saw her walking up the steps, growling and everything." Eros tells Eli in a secretive kind of way but loud enough for me to hear. If I was full human, I wouldn't have been able to catch it, so it's a good thing I'm half werewolf. Oh good grief. Eli laughs, taking up a cookie.

"True. I don't know how you survive with her." He says, popping the cookie into his mouth.
"Tell me about it. You should've kicked her more on the plane." Eros replies. Okay, that's enough.
"You guys do realize I am right here right?!" I burst out. Correction to my earlier statement, this just got a whole lot worse. One of them alone is enough to drive me upside down, and two? Now that's insanity.

"Hey, did you hear anything? I think it was a fly, don't you think Eros?" Eli says, feigning innocence.
"Your sarcasm is amusing Eli, I'm enjoying it so much." I say, as sarcastically back as he said to me.
"There she goes again being a pain." I just stare open-mouthed at my grandparents, noticing that they're smiling too.

"Honey, don't get too worked up, those were just jokes. Funny ones may I add." Wow. Thanks so much for siding me.

"Since I'm being such a 'pain' as you say, I'll be off then, to see the beautiful scenery outside on the streets." I fume and stalk back to my room to take my bag with my phone in it, voss bottle and keys. I walk back down and before I leave, I just shout back,
"I'll be home by 10." I hear someone call me from behind when I close the door but as of right now, I really don't want to deal with that.

Who would've known... Venice is actually really big. Including all the islands and everything it's like a kingdom. I don't have time to go travel to the other islands right now though cause if I get the water bus ticket it won't be worth it, using it for only a few hours. So I've decided to go find the iconic St. Marks Square. The sun is almost setting and I heard the night scene there is just gorgeous so why not check it out.

The routes around the city are pretty too, it's like a painted story, with gondolas passing the bridges and small cafes lined up along the walls. It's so artistic, I'm constantly taking pictures of the buildings, and bridges. I've probably walked under 10 bridges by now. Finally! Damn, this place is gorgeous. It's the perfect moment now too, even though night is drawing in, I think the fun is just starting. The music played by the small ensemble has changed from melodious tunes to a more upbeat tempo. It's a good thing I'm not hungry right now because this is something I do not want to miss out on.

The vibrant lights and other historical buildings look stunning, contrasting with the modern music and feel of the atmosphere. Why haven't we thought of visiting Venice before? This is amazing. For once in a long time, I'm actually not stressed over something.
"Hello Hera. Enjoying the scenery?" And the moment's gone.

"Yea actually, until you walked into my view space."
"Hey, don't be mean to my cat. He's adorable." Eli says, making a sad face. I then turn my attention to the small ball of fluff at his legs on a leash. It's fur blended in with the tiles on the floor and I didn't even notice the kitty was there. Awh, it's so cute. It's eyes look like puss in boots'.
"I knew you would like him." He boasts. I choose to ignore it though, if anything, I'll just steal his cat.
"What's his name?"
"Heathcliff." Now that's sweet.
"I'm sorry about just now okay? I just wanted to get to know Eros and it seemed as though the best way to do that was through teasing you." I roll my eyes.
"Yea right. You were just being yourself. Boring, mean and frustrating, just like him." He mocks shock and gasps.
"How could you say such a thing? I can be really exciting and fun to be around." I snort.
"Prove it then." I say. He lifts his chin up high and nods.
"Fine. Then let the fun begin. Follow me." He picks up Heathcliff and walks towards a tall brick bell tower almost in the middle of the square. It's skyscraper-tall and it looks so grand, and old and historical.

"This is the Campanile. It's one of the 'must go to' tourist destinations if you're here for the first time. There's a lift that takes you to the top." Ohh, I've heard of this before. Mom told me the panoramic view from high up above was breathtaking.
"You should add this to your bucket list. To go up and see the view." Say what?
"I don't have a bucket list. But yea, I do want to go up and see the view. My mom told me it was great." I reply.
"I can bring you up tomorrow. And around the city too." I smile, shaking my head.
"What?" He asks.
"How can I trust you, Eli, to bring me round the place?" He chuckles.
"Well, maybe because I know the Italian language, because I kind of am a citizen here in a way, even though I don't live here full time. And also, because I know my way around Venice like the back of my hand, meaning I know where all the cool secret stuff are." Citizen?! He's Italian? He doesn't even have an accent.
"Liar. You don't have an accent." I say, and Eli laughs.
"That's cause, in a nutshell, I was only born here. My parents were vacationing at the time and they didn't expect that I would be born. But anywho, I was, in Italy, so technically when I'm 21, I'll then have to choose if I want to have the citizenship or not." Speaking of which... How old is he...
"I'm 18 if you're wondering." He says, smirking. Just as he finishes, Heathcliff meows, yawning. That. Is. So. Adorable. His tiny little mouth closed and he licks his nose.
"Why can't you feel the same way about me the way you do Heathcliff?" Eli says.
"I've never been rejected before." I cross my arms across my chest.
"Since when did I reject you? And for one, he's cute, you're not. Two, he's got a better name than yours."

Eli grins.
"Well, that's nice to know."
"It's nine, you have to get home." He says, turning to walk back the way we came.
"I said I'll be back by 10, that's not 9."
"'By 10' not at 10. You go back earlier." I sigh.
"Fine." I say, following him back.

Wow. The house is so near here. I just took a super long route, following the signs. It took me in a whole circle. Eli brought me back in less than 5 minutes.
"Bye Heathcliff, and Eli."
"I'll see you tomorrow. Night." He tells me, before closing his door. I then go inside my house too, going straight up to my room. Eros is probably playing video games in his room and my grandparents are probably sleeping, so I flop on my bed, and scroll through my messages. Suddenly, I get a new notification.

Unknown: hi princess, this is Eli
Hera: how did you get my number?
He's such a sneak. I wouldn't be surprised if one of my grandparents told him. But I'm betting on Eros. I save his number into my phone.
Eli: Eros
I knew it...
Hera: so, gonna use text to disturb me now eh?
Eli: what gives you that impression?
Umm... A lot of things?
Hera: you're funny
Eli: funny like laughing funny or awkwardly funny?
Hera: hmm... Not telling
Eli: tease
I grin at my phone. Placing it back on the bedside table. Tomorrow is going to be one hell of a day.
