Warning: It will be in third person most of the time, but may switch to Alex or Jack's POV at times.

Alex groaned as he rolled out of his bed, bashing his hand onto the corner of his old wooden bed-side table.
His eyes fixed at the clock reading 7:30am before rubbing the palm of his hand which glowed a bright red.
"Fuck, I over slept again" Alex muttered to himself, not that he cared of course but ever since his brother ended his own life, his mum cared more about Alex's own reputation then ever.
With little effort Alex pulled on he's dark blue skinny jeans and an old white tee he'd been given for his birthday. He then slid on some sneakers and slung his old and tired backpack over one shoulder and grabbed a bar of chocolate before heading out the door to college.
Alex's mum and dad split up a month after the death of his brother Daniel died, he said he couldn't take the pressure and the constant downs Alex's mum went through. His mum had a job out of town dealing with financial things or something, Alex never really understood his mum's job but acted like he did anyway. His mum would leave at 6:30 and arrive home about 6pm depending on traffic.
Arriving at college seemed easy compared to some for Alex. He wasn't popular, nor a jock but he wasn't a nerd or geek either. He was just in the middle and that's how he liked it. Before entering the building he browsed the grounds in search of his best friends Rian and Zack who stood like lost lemons in the corner near the stairs like always. Alex greeted them with a grin before heading off to their study area, they always had a free period first thing on a Monday and so it was a place they would hang if the weather was miserable.
Before they even had a chance to sit down their tutor who took care of them rushed through the doors with a lanky tall guy with black hair and blonde streaks in the fringe. He looked a tad goofy and more then a little bit lost.
"Alex Gaskarth" the man bellowed out.
Gosh, what had the kid done now? He often got into trouble for the opinionated mouth of his.
"Yes sir?" He said back with a hint of sarcasm leaving his lips.
"This is Jack, Jack Barakat, his family is new to the town and since you three have nothing better to do with your free period I think Jack could do with a tour of the college, don't you?"
Alex almost spat at him, he always picked on Alex but he couldn't help notice the lanky boys brown eyes which seemed to gaze at him. The tutor walked out and Rian and Zack followed shortly after.
"We have to go gaskank" they said with a smirk and left.
"Well that's just great!" Alex gritted through he's teeth.
"S-sorry I-I" Jack mumbled in a semi-high pitched voice.
Alex looked at the boy up and down.
"What did you say your name was again?"
