I've been played a fool [Jalex] - Chapter 6

Think I may get up to chapter 8 tonight perhaps even more! I need to fasten the story up a bit, it's going down hill majorly! Sorry folks, keep the comments coming

It'd been four days since Alex had broken down in front of his mum, who didn't mind him being gay if he felt like he was inside, she told him she preferred it to some sluts he's brought home before, and thinks it'll open up a whole new gateway for him. It was also four days since Rian gave him that warning, and Alex never found the right moment to tell Jack that he wasn't sure about where they where going.

It was edging towards lunch and Rian had turned up out of no where with Zack and perched on the bench the other two boys were sitting on.

"I uh, I gotta go get a drink" Alex said, scooting off to avoid the awkwardness.

"Jack, we need to talk" Rian said and in the space of 3 minutes, he told the poor boy everything, the using of the feelings, the lot. Rian didn't mean to but he wasn't good at keeping secrets at all, and afterwards he knew heshould have kept that mouth of his shut, but he didn't want to see the boy upset, unfortunately, Jack was almost reduced to tears.

"S-s-so Alex doesn't love me, the kiss meant nothing? It's all just a big joke to him, to play with my heart to find out of he's actually gay?" Jack spatted out, his heart had a rope tied round it which pulled tighter and tighter when more things came out. Rian just nodded and Zack sat there with his head bowed down, not uttering a word, almost as if he knew Rian had said too much already, when Alex approached the table.

"I got you a cookie Jack" He spoke, smiling, not realising what Rian had previously said.

"I fucking hate you Gaskarth, keep you and your gay/straight thoughts away from me, you should feel pitty, using me at a time like this?"

Alex just shot Rian a glare and had tears burning his eyes, he knew full well what Rian had just said and he walked round to Jack and held his arms out and looked him straight in the eye.

"Jack Barakat, I do.. like you.. it's just. Scrap that" Alex stuttered, Jack looking rather un-pleased.

"When you first entered this school, you entered it at such a wrong time, I was confused about my sexuality and you fitted perfectly, It was only going to be for a few days, a pure test run for me seeing if I could cope without a girl, but there's so much more to you then just being a guinea pig, you have a place in my heart, I'd never take advantage of you, especially when your mum is dieing"

At this point Rian and Zack's eyes popped out of their heads at the word "dieing" and "mum"

Alex continued.

"Remember that day when our lips connected? That's what I want it to be like always, I just don't know if I can provide you the love you need, you deserve, especially at a point like this. I have butterflies and shakes when my eyes catch a glimpse of you, and when someone speaks of your name, my heart skips one whole beat, if not more!"

Jack's heart was pounding fast, Alex was adorable and everything Jack wanted, but he couldn't forgive him there and then about what he's done to him.

"I think we both need to think over this all, about what we expect in life, what we want, and maybe we could take it steady? I just don't know if I'm going to be that committed and turn gay, I don't want to be an asshole to you, not now, not ever"

Alex welled up again and his mouth felt drier then ever, he desired Jack, he needed Jack more then he ever thought he would.

"I've been played a fool though Alex, it's going to take time and effort for me to trust you that this is ever going to be love, especially with my mum" Jack whispered, before a river of tears flowed over his peachy coloured cheeks which made Alex feel like a massive dick.

Jack just turned away, Rian and Zack just sitting there speechless.

"Dude, I'm sorry I just-" Rian spoke up.

"What's done is done Rian"  Alex replied, not facing Rian, instead walking off.

Under the table the whole time, Zack had been squeezing Rian's hand.

All he could do was support Rian and his choice of words and what he did, after all, they was a couple...right?...
