I'm sorry if my previous chapter upset anyone. Also, please please please comment, otherwise I don't know if I should carry on or not! The next chapter ( chapter 11 ) may involve some arguing;)

-3 days later-

Jack hadn't been himself for the past 72 hours, not that Alex expected him to be cheerful, but nobody could get a word out of the younger boy, not even his brother or sister.
Alex's mum housed Jack and let him use the spare room they had. Seeing Jack hurt reminded her of her son who was no longer with her. The way the boy acted was a lot like Alex when he found out about his brother. She would cry to herself every so often, making sure neither of the two boys saw.

Mrs. Gaskarth knew it was early, so she crept downstairs and grabbed a slice of buttered toast and coffee, before leaving a note to whoever read it first, most likely Alex;

Dear Alex and Jack,
I have an important conference meeting abroad today, and I'll be out there a few days for team building exercises and training. You're both grown up so I trust you will take care of yourselves well.
I have left an enclosed amount of cash for food, pretrol and going out money aswell as putting more money onto Alex's card.
If you need to get hold of me, you both know my number.
And Alex, don't forget to take care of Buster!
I will see you soon, I shall be back in time for Joyce's funeral, if you so wish for me to be there.
Take care, see you boys soon.
xx

She dragged out her moderate sized suitcase before heading out the door and shutting it too.
This was loud enough to startle Alex who then mumbled and sat up, rubbing the sleep that formed around his eyes. He stretched and yawned before grabbing his iPhone and noticing the time. 9:28AM.

This was early for Alex, but since Jack started staying, he wouldn't sleep properly, he was quite the heavy sleeper normally, but recently he'd been startled easily resulting to midday naps or earlier nights.
As early as it was, he knew he wouldn't be the only one awake in the house, not meaning the dog.
Alex crawled out of bed, looking cuter then ever and opened his curtains as the cold sunshine met his half-opened eyes.
"Ow fuck!" Alex grumbled, before getting onto his feet and creeping down the hallway, and peering through Jack's door.

There he was, emotionless. Staring at the wall, and the wall staring back at him.
Alex crawled into bed beside Jack and cuddled him from behind, he could feel Jack's heart, thumping away at a quiet and slow pace. Jack just stayed there, he didn't attempt to snuggle up to Alex, or shrug him off, he had physically no energy and his mental state wasn't brilliant either.
"Jack baby, you've got to talk to someone some day or another.."
Jack turned around to look Alex in the eye, his pupils were blood shot and his skin around it was a bright red, his hair all tangled and he defiantly needed to shave away that stubble, and it wasn't his usual cute stubble either.

"I-I know it's hard for you Jacky, and I won't make you do anything you don't want to do, I promise you that now, but I need to know your okay, we're all worried sick about you, I just care, that's all.."
with that Alex climbed out of bed and reached for the door handle.
"Wait.. Alex.." Jack managed to choke out.
Alex smiled like a big baby, the sound of his voice was so soothing, even in the most terrible of situations.
"What Jacky?" Alex turned around and beamed.
"I-I- I need your help, you know, organising her funeral?" Alex's face dropped a bit, he didn't think about that, neither did he think it was a good idea for Jack to be thinking about it either. But he knew Jack was right, they needed to get it done and out the way, and fast.
"Well, how about I make you a cooked breakfast and we head into town and get things sorted out, huh?"

At this point Buster came crashing in, he was such a clumsy little pup, he was a grey colour with white patches on the tip of his head, and on his paws. His tail was swaying away like mad and he was painting with his pink little tongue hanging out.  He adored Jack, he was the first person he would run to each morning.
With that he jumped up onto the bed and jumped onto Jack's bare torso and started licking away at his face.
"I'd like that, thank you Lexy" He laughed out, and both boys seemed to laugh in unison.

Alex soon got breakfast on the way, and read his mum's note before pinning it to the fridge.
Jack emerged from his bedroom and appeared in the kitchen doorway, smiling away to himself at Alex getting all flustered about the food and Buster getting in the way of his feet, so much so that he didn't know Alex was staring right back at him after a few minutes.
"Was you smiling at my backside Barakat?"
"n-no" Jack thought Alex was being serious.
"I was just kidding Jacky, now get this down you and go get dressed so we can go out.
Alex threw Buster some bacon and sat down at the table with Jack.

Before they knew it they were on the road in Alex's car and on their way to get this whole funeral thing sorted.
Alex knew it would probably create a few tears but he hoped that Jack would stay strong, for the sake of making things a lot easier.
A few hours and a lot of tears later, the funeral was finally arranged and all that was left was to tell people times and dates, when and where.

Jack stayed a whole lot stronger then Alex ever thought he would so for that he grabbed his card out of his wallet and took Jack into the shopping mall.
Not that he loved shopping, Alex detested it, as far as he was concerned shopping was the only sport a lady would ever be good at.
He dragged Jack arround a few shops before he saw Jack almost licking a window at the sight of these high-tops.
They were a bright white colour with a blood red and crimson black stripes going across them with Black and Red laces, in that shop was also some black suits which looked smart for the funeral, and so he told Jack to go sit down and buy an ice-cream for himself. Soon after Jack appeared with several boxes and bags in his hand and Jack dropped his ice-cream as Alex handed a few to Jack.

"For me?.."
"Only for my Jacky-boo" Alex smiled.
"I love you Lexy, thank you so so so much" Jack grinned at the sight of a new pair of high-tops, a new pair of smart shoes and a suit.
"No problem, I bet you'd look hot in that suit too" Alex winked and Jack nudged him lightly.
"Keep those eyes in those sockets, Gaskank"
And with that the two boys ended up chasing each other all through the mall and down to the car park like little kids.

They were inseperable, they were the perfect match.
