Sparks of The End

Chapter 2

Rythian P.O.V. (Why not? :3)

    Rythian, Zoey, and Lalna flew on their flying rings, while Sjin used his crop duster. Making their way to the factory, Zoey kept close to Rythian.

   "So, how's the nuke?" Lalna asked, honesty, smiling. Same cunning Lalna as ever, "I saw the blueprints, what are you planning?" He said smiling again, but turning his head to look at them. "Why should you care?" Zoey said, her cheeks turning red.

  "Why shouldn't I?" Lalna asked, looking at Rythian, expecting a reaction. "Are you sure you want us to help, or is this a trap?" Rythian narrowed his eyes, stopping mid-flight. Sjin circled around and called, "Why would this be a trap?" Lalna sighed, and continued not looking back to the others, and Sjin followed him.

   Rythian looked to Zoey, who shrugged, and they followed the other two to the large factory with several large blue trucks outside. The logo on the front of the huge white building was a dwarf with a orange beard and a Viking helmet on it's head.

   When they got inside they saw everyone rushing around, filling backpacks and water bottles, gathering weapons. Sjin followed them inside once he had landed, it would be a while until Tee' had made it to the factory. When Lomadia saw them she widened her eyes and pulled her hands to her mouth in a whistle.

   Everyone stopped and looked at them, making Rythain uncomfortable. He scratched the back of his neck and looked to Zoey. She was looking just as uneasy as he was, as she stared at her feet and put her hands behind her back. "Glad you could make it." Lomadia said, her eyes fixed on Rythian. "Common enemy, we can't just sit around." Rythian replied, forcing his terrible feelings about this down his throat and out of mind.

  Lomadia nodded, with a small smile on her face. As Xephos came up behind her, as he wrapped an arm around her waist, he smiled at them and said, "Thank you, for helping, we're going to need it."

  After that that, Rythian and Zoey, quietly waited for the others to finish packing before Xephos had announced that they we're going to stop at a place a little whiles from here, he also explained the importance of walking on foot.

  Tee' had got there right as they we're leaving, but the dinosaur didn't mind having to continue walking. Everyone spaced out and walked in their separate groups. Rythian and Tee' walked on either side of Zoey, and she just smiled and walked with them.

  No one was in a very happy mood, but Zoey just smiled, enough to brighten the day. She would turn to Rythian every few minutes to look at him and then smile, just going back to skipping. No one but Xephos and Honeydew seemed to know where they we're going. But by the grave looks on their faces, it wasn't going to be a very happy place.

  The day slowly turned to night, as the sun hid behind the clouds. Xephos stopped the party and announced, "We'll camp here tonight." Everyone groaned, but started to release their packs from their shoulders.

  The clearing they stopped in was rather opened and large, but it looked easy to defend. It had trees on one side of it and a river on the other, their original plan was to follow the river, or at least that's the trail that Xephos followed. There was bushes and shrubs, but a lot of stumps from cut off trees. Rythian liked to believe it was beavers, but he knew they weren't to far off from Honeydew Inc. and Sipsco.  

  Zoey sat down on a tree stump and sighed, as Rythian sat down on the floor next to her and got out a bottle of water. He gently pushed his mask down far enough for him to sip from the bottle. As Tee's big dinosaur body leaned against the stump Zoey was sitting on.

  Rythian hurried and pulled this mask back up and passed the bottle to Zoey. "What's wrong?" He asked her, as she took the bottle from him. She shrugged, "I know this is pretty terrible, but I feel people should be happy that we're all alive and here together." She answered taking a swig of the water and brushing her hand over her lips.

  Rythian laughed, "You probably could do something to lift their sprits." Tee' nodded beside him. Zoey smiled at his encouraging words and got off the stump. She walked over to Lomadia and whispered in her ear. A giant smile lifted over her face, as they went to collect Minty. After telling her they walked over to Kaeyi. 

  She looked at them in surprise but when the girls gestured her to come with them, she followed willingly. Kissing Martyn on the cheek before she followed them into the trees. Rythian could see the blush on his face from here, as well as Toby's laughing face as he rolled on the floor. Sparkles* finally slapped Toby and he shut up.

  At this point, Rythian wanted to know what the girls had in mind, preferably Zoey. But they didn't come out from the trees they disappeared in. The night became darker, and he could tell a few others we're wondering what the girls we're up to as well.

  Finally a light was shown, not sure where it came from, on a few tree stumps. There was the chirping of music, coming from the trees. The lights flickered off and then on again, the chirping was followed by the sound of crickets chiming in to the music.

  The girls finally made themselves known, but they were dressed differently. They all seemed to have the same shoes on, but instead of their usually outfits they we're all in dresses. But the dresses seemed to be made of natural material.

  Lomadia's was made of what looked like blue jay's feathers, Kaeyi's was made of white flower blooms, Minty's was made of green leaves, and Zoey . .  .

  She was wearing what looked to be the most beautiful thing Rythian had ever seen, her smile was from ear to ear. Her hair had been tied back in the ponytail she had always liked, and her dress . . . it looked to be made of roses with mushrooms lacing the bottom and the top of the strapless piece.

  All of them looked stunning in their new sparkling strapless dresses, as the music tuned to their dancing. Rythian could hear Sips do a wolf whistle and then Sjin punched him in the arm. It turned everyone's faces around to see the girls smiling so wide and lets face it. These we're men, watching beautiful girls dance.

  When they stopped, they all curtsied. Causing everyone to chap and cheer and whistle and the girls to disappearing the trees again, Rythian assumed they must be changing. The men laughed, and chatted, a new energy was given to them. Rythian smiled under his mask, Zoey had a brilliant idea.

  But as they exited the bushes, a scream was heard.

The girls turned as fast as lighting. Lomadia raising her sword and slashing. "Eep!" Kaeyi squirmed away from the bushes, as Zoey turned to flash everyone a warning look. "Teep!" She called out as Tee' raised his bow and shoot.  

  A growl was heard and everyone jumped up their weapons in hand. Lomadia, Zoey, and Kaeyi ran back to the group, no sign of Minty. "Madia!" Xephos called to her as she ran into his arms, "They got her! Minty!" Lomadia shrieked, calling out Minty's name. Tee' kept his bow locked on target as Zoey retreated to stand next to Rythian.

  Growl's and rumbles shook the ground, as ten, to thousand's of zombies filed out of the bushes. And the biggest one, holding a struggling Minty under it's arm. She screamed, and kicked, but couldn't get out of his hold.

  "I see your back, spaceman and dwarf, this should please the dark lord. But for now we will take the girl." The giant monster said in a grumbling voice, as the zombies surrounded them.
