Sparks of The End

Chapter 8

Lomadia P.O.V.

 After Ender, zombie boss, and creeper boss had disappeared in a rage of fire and a puff of purple smoke Lomadia saw Zoey hit the ground, and then shifted as Lalna ran from her side and collected Zoey. Lomadia knew her eyes were getting hazy, that smoke was blinding. She could also feel her lungs swelling with smoke, that wasn't a good thing.

  She let out another cough to make everyone move into action. They had all been staring, looking slightly confused. She didn't blame them, but at least they all knew Rythian was safe. Well, safe might have been an understatement. 

   But they knew what happened to him, why he didn't come back. Or follow them, he'd been apparently brain washed. Or maybe had amnesia. It was easy to see he had no memory of what had happened in the earlier stages of his life. Along with the time he'd spent with Zoey. 

  This was very bad for their group, seeing as though zombie boss and creeper boss had feed him lies, and possibly told him that they (the group) were the evil ones, which they weren't. But could they really blame him?

  Lomadia knew her heart, her mind and her nerves we're racing. Maybe not all at the same speed, but still. She could feel Xephos as he carried her away from the burning village and out into the forest with the rest of the villagers. 

  She coughed and spit up the smoke that coughed her lungs, it was terrible. In some ways she felt almost disgusted that they were to burn down this village. And endanger tons of people, sure she knew they were evil but it was stil shocking. 

  After laying down and having around two bottles of water, Lomadia started to feel a bit better. Xephos combed his hand through her hair as she gulped down another quarter of her water. 

  "Are you okay?" Xephos asked after Lomadia huffed one last time. She looked at him, "Nope, I'm dying Xephos, remember to bury me near a jungle. I always liked those the best." She answered with a sigh. He cracked a smile, "What kinds of flowers would you like, my dear?" He asked and she tapped her chin with her finger. "Roses and tulips, please." She said twisting her head, in an atempt to try and relax. 

  He just laughed, and then leaned against her as Honeydew came over to them. "Hey Xeph, 'Madia," He greeted, petting his beard. "What's up?" Xephos asked, sounding slightly serious. "Er, for one I just came to check on both of you, and two we're going to need to have a meeting. And well, you both are kind of important?" He said smiling at them, Xephos just chuckled. "Give us a few more minutes and then we can talk about whats come up, alright?" He answered looking at his friend with amusement. "'Course," Honeydew nodded and walked back over to the rest of 'em. 

  "Can I have a drink?" Xephos asked, offering a hand for her to put it in. Lomadia raised her eyebrow at him, and passed it to Xephos. He took it gingerly, smiling and took a swing and then coughed making Lomadia snicker. As he gave it back to her her looked at her disapprovingly, and then got up. 

  He offered her a hand that she hesitated to grab, "Something wrong?" He asked as they started their way down the trail to the group. "No, erm, have you heard how Zoey's doing yet?" Lomadia fidgeted, Xephos raised an eyebrow at her. "I've been watching you the whole time, I didn't have time to check on Zoey." Lomadia seemed shocked by this, "Why were you watching me while I slept?" Xephos just laughed and started to speed up as they reached the panicking group. 

   Lomadia sat down next to Lalna and whispered, "How's Zoey?" His vision shifted to see her and then replied, "They're just small burns." She nodded and looked up at Xephos as he clapped his hands. "Look's like we have a predicament on our hands everyone." One by one everyone became silent and looked up at Xephos.

  "The next logical step would be to figure out where the base is and then get recon, but we may or may not have lost our one stealth player." Xephos pondered, "He's joined the dark side." Sjin hissed, which in no way sounded menacing. "Seems like it." Honeydew scratched his beard.

  "Well, lets take a poll, all who now see Rythi-Ender as an enemy say 'aye'." Lalna said, following afterward were several 'aye's. "It's agreed then?" Lomadia questioned, "I guess it is, if we see Ender in battle you had reason to attack him." Xephos nodded slowly.

  Everyone was silent for a moment. "There's only one problem, I have a feeling he isn't being Ender out of his own free will, it's obvious to see he has no memory of his past life and that creeper and zombie boss are feeding him lies." Xephos said, basically repeating all the things Lomadia had said to herself.

  "That can't matter when in battle, Xeph, besides I know at least half of us wouldn't mind beating Rythian to a pulp." Martyn said looking straight at Xephos. "You can't just assume that!" Lomadia growled, "We can if we know what power he posses! Everyone would know the Rythian would have never hurt Zoey like that. He's dangerous if he doesn't have any memory." Keayi said coming to her boyfriends defense.

  "But there was restraint, we all saw it correct?" Xephos asked, looking around the group, everyone nodded. "The bosses wanted more but Ender... refused." Xephos tapped his chin lightly. "I guess he's not as monster as they are." Lalna growled at the ground. Lomadia put a hand on his shoulder. "But surely this is a good thing for us." Minty said speaking up.

  "Minty you never told us what you found out when you were captured." Lomadia said to her long time friend. Minty looked at the ground, "All I know is that their names are Chelsea and Trip, and they were trying to get Zoey not me. I assume she was to be used as a bargain for Rythian's service."

   A few looked at her in shock and others looked at her with understanding. "I'm going to go check on Zoey." Lalna said getting up and walking away from the group.
