Sparks of The End

Chapter 10

Minty P.O.V.

   Lomadia grabbed Minty's arm and pulled her away from Sjin and Sips. At first it startled her and she almost screamed but then she realized it was just her friend and gasped. "My gosh 'Madia, don't startle me like that!"  

  Lomadia looked annoyed at her friend, "We need to have a girl talk with Zoey, can you grab Keayi." Minty looked at her questioning, "When did you start girl talking?" Lomadia just waved the question away and repeated, "Go get Keayi." 

  Minty was scooted towards Keayi, she sighed and walked up to the pink haired girl. "Keayi, do you mind coming with me?" Keayi turned her head and looked at Minty with worry, "Of course not." She said getting up. Martyn seemed to be giving her a warning look, as well as Toby and Sparkles. Minty knew they most likely didn't trust her, but she smiled and motioned for Keayi to follow her quickly. 

  Keayi jogged after Minty, "So what's happened?" Minty turned her head slightly to look at the Panda hatted girl. "Lomadia wants to have a girl talk, she told me to go get you." Keayi's eyes widened, "Oh," Minty just nodded as they walked over to Lomadia who seemed to be thinking. 

  "We're here." Minty said to Lomadia as they aproched. "Good," Lomadia smiled, "We have to kick Lalna out." Keayi raised an eye brow and Minty chuckled. "What, we can't have girl talk with Lalna, oh wait maybe we can?" Lomadia said stopping to tap her chin and think. Minty moved past Lomadia and walked over to Zoey's door. 

  "We can just ask him politely to leave," Minty said with a smile, Keayi smiled and knocked on the door. They could hear the obvious crying from inside the room. And then Lalna's delayed, "Who's there?" 

  "It's just us, Lalna let us in." Lomadia said through the door. They heard him get up, maybe from the floor, and open the door for them. He didn't move out of the way from them and they just stared at each other. 

  Finally Lomadia grabbed him by his arm and pulled him outside, once he was far away enough the went inside and locked him out. He was so surprised it took him a minute to realize they had locked him out of the room. A minute later he was banging on the door and telling them to let him in. In which they all replied with a 'no' as they walked over to Zoey. 

  Once Lalna had retreated they all circled around the puffy eyed Zoey, who would frequently blow her nose instead of talking. They mostly just watched her for a while, until Lomadia thought it was a good idea to break the silence. "Zoey, you know you can tell us stuff?" Keayi nodded swiftly and Minty smiled at Zoey gently. 

  "I know," Zoey sniffled, "I just can't believe..." They could tell she was on the verge of breaking off into tears again. The poor girl was taking the news hard, Minty rested a hand on her shoulder. "Go ahead and tell us, we wont interrupt." Keayi said sincerely. Zoey nodded and began saying what was basically her life story. 

  She talked about the old server, her mushrooms, falling out of the sky, finding Rythian, building their dirt make-shift castle, finding Baby Jim, building Blackrock, the 'FARM' sign, Teep shooting her, Dasiy the mooshroom, The magic he taught her, and so much more. There where so many details, and hurt in her words. The listened as she droned on about the brown mushroom enclave, coming back and all the happiness, the promises they made, that was when the tears started breaking through. 

  She talked about the nuke, and Lalna, his castle, his lasers, she didn't talk about him like she did Rythian though, Minty could tell. They comforted her as she finished her story, "And now he doesn't remember me, he doesn't remember anyone. He's officially gone, and I have to deal with it." She looked up at them, pain laced in her voice, "I just don't want them to hurt him..." She said.

  Keayi opened her mouth, but closed it quickly. "Lets make a promise," Minty suggested, they looked at her in confusion. "A promise?" Minty nodded, "A promise stating that we will not harm Ender, and protect him. Maybe if we can protect him from the boys long enough Zoey can snap some sense into him?" Minty said with a hopeful smile. Zoey smiled back, "Thank you Minty..." Lomadia nodded, and Keayi shrugged, "Eh, what do we have to loose." 

  Zoey's eyes got wide, "Your relationships." They looked at her with small smiles, "Don't worry about that," Lomadia said, and then shifted her position so she could hold her hand out into the middle of their circle. In which everyone just looked at it. "Let's promise then." She smiled. "That we'll help each other out, in time of need. A girls pact."

  They all smiled, and one by one they all put their hands into the center. Minty felt safe and happy, all at once, in that one moment she felt as though they could be true friends. It might have just been a silly dream, but she felt better then she had in a long time.

  Afterward they joined together for a group hug, and played games such as 'go fish' and 'checkers' trying to help Zoey get her mind off Ender and her injuries.  It was pretty easy, Zoey was easily distracted, at this moment none of them were complaining.

  They could felt the sun going down, but they continued to play and joke. Only did they stop when Xephos came to check on them. They shooed him away quickly and all spent the night in Zoey's room. And judging by Zoey's normal smile, she was excited, and oblivious now more then ever. And, even though it was wrong, Minty couldn't help but sigh peacefully.

  Sadly, peace never lasts forever.
