Chapter 5

STEPH'S POV

The rest of the week went by quickly, I still got bullied each time by Rebekah and her girl minions. While James completely ignores my existence in every class we have together. Which I am very grateful for,if I should say.

It was now Friday, and I was in my second to last class of the day, which was Biology. Mr. Riddles was teaching us about The Respiratory System, what it's different functions were and the different parts of the lungs.

I check to see, how many minutes was left for this class. I really needed to go to my F&N, today was the day we are going to be doing our practical work for people, who are diabetic.

It was a total of ten minutes for biology to end. "Alright class! Come next month, October 19, each of you will be presenting on different systems of the body; including the ones we learnt about today. Also the ones we have yet to do, leading up to the 26th." Groans from everyone in class could be heard all around.

"Please!! Save your excitement for your presentation." Mr. Riddles said in a flat tone. "As I was saying now, before you leave look at the list posted on the wall, to see who your partner is. Oh! Your not allowed to switch partners. Have a nice day class."

The bell rang signalling that class was over. I rushed up to see who I was paired with, "Waite..... Walters...... Walsh....Waters..... White,Stephanie-Ann with.......

James Snow!!! YOU HAVE GOT TO BE FUCKING JOKING. Like it wasn't bad enough that he was one of my constant tormentors, but no, he is my partner for my Bio project. Just FUCKING great, how great. I thought to myself while standing there, completely still as everyone search their partner's name and left.

James' POV

Mr. Riddles' class just finish and I was putting the last of my books in my bag, so I can go see who had the pleasure of working with me. As everyone cleared out the lab, I saw someone standing there still looking at the list of names.

Once I got closed to where the list was, I saw who it was.
It's that girl who me and friends make fun of.

Whats her name again Sophie, Tiffanie-Ann........Stephanie-Ann. Yeah, I think that's her name.

What is she staring at? Its none of my business still, I will just find my partner for the project and leave.

I searched for my name and to say I was annoyed was an understatement. I was pissed that I had her as a partner,for this project.

Steph's POV

As I stood there looking at the list, I did realize that I was left in the class with James.

I sucked in a breath as he scan the list for his name. I just wanted to run away before he found out, that he was partnered to me; but my feet were glued to the ground as he turned to me.

He opened his mouth," Tell me that this a joke, right? Because you could not possibly be my lab partner." He spits out the words at me, with so much venom in each stressed word." I don't think I can work with someone as ugly and nerdy looking as you."

Ouch.......that really hurt my feelings badly. I felt tears threaten to pour out my eyes, but I refused to let him see me cry, again. "Well who told you I wanted you to be my lab partner on this stupid project? Oh! wait, you think it's a FUCKING joy to work with a jerk like you? Well news flash it's not." I said angrily, through gritted teeth while staring daggers at him.

"Whatever, I don't have time for this, I will be late for computer class. Just do the report while I put together a power point presentation. By the way, we're doing the Reproductive System." He said and turned to leave, while I stared at the spot, he was just occupying awhile ago, looking dumbfounded at what he said.

I can't believe he actually does work in school. All I thought he did was torment people, smoke, drink and have sex with Rebekah or anything that has a heartbeat and a vagina. I sighed and went to F&N to start my practical, along side Abby.

For my practical, I made three course meal:

Breakfast: it was a whole wheat tortilla with scrambled eggs, onions, green peppers and some spinach. Sprinkled with nonfat Cheddar cheese with sliced kiwi and oranges and a salsa.

Dinner: Pan Seared Rosemary Chicken,with sliced lemon pieces. Sprinkled over it was asparagus and string beans.

Dessert: Creamy Bake Custard- delicately flavored with vanilla and accompanied by a fresh cherry compote.

For the first time my meal came out perfect and Mrs. Ginger gave me an A+.

While Abby also got a A+ for Grilled Salmon, Peach Cobbler Pie and A Breakfast Taco.

We placed our meals in the back of her car and we drove off to her home for our sleep over that she sprung on me during F&N class. That is after I called and asked permission from my parents, which they said yes.
