Chapter 33 - Under the Stars

Jiyoon couldn't have wanted anything more than being able to finally spend time with Luhan, and boy did she spend a lot of time with him. For a whole week after Luhan and EXO had come back, she had either gone out on dates with him or whole group outings with EXO to eat out between the hectic Christmas schedule the company had given them. After finishing their promotions for another week, Luhan finally managed to secure a whole two weeks' holiday for himself and because Jiyoon is also on her holidays having officially graduated from high school, he decided it would be good for them to have some bonding time.

"Where are we going?" she whined when Luhan pulled the covers off her, the cool air hitting her bare legs, then being dragged and ushered into the bathroom to get ready. "What ungodly time is it anyway?" she shouts through the door as she put toothpaste onto her toothbrush. She knows this because her 7AM alarm hasn't gone off yet; she had kept forgetting to turn off the setting ever since school had finished, and now it still goes off and she complains about it but still can't really be bothered to do something about it.

"5AM," Luhan replies calmly from the other side. He's standing outside the door with her clothes ready; he'd asked his stylist to prepare some new clothes for her as his surprise to her. He'd planned this little trip ahead of time, hoping to pass the new year with her; they'd already spent Christmas together with the whole group including her friends and he thinks it's about time for him to have some time alone with her. "I've got your clothes here," he said after some time, knocking on the bathroom door when he heard no reply. It opened under his hand to reveal a disgruntled Jiyoon who took the clothes and shut the door again. He chuckled and went to their room, picking up a few more items to pack into their suitcase and bags, then carried them downstairs quietly. Everyone in the Park household are still asleep.

It'd be their third year together when the 1st of January rolls around, or actually two and half to be a little more precise. He chuckles to himself as he picks up his camera; it's become somewhat of a treasure to him now, capturing all his memories with Jiyoon and his members. It'd also be four years with them. He brews himself a cup of tea, swirling the tea bag as he clicks through the photo roll, smiling at all the pictures everyone had taken during their time together and all the memories they'd made; he'd have to print them out later. He turns it off, taking out the full SD card and sliding in a new one; ready to take photos as soon as they head out the door.

Jiyoon's yawn turned Luhan's attention to her and he can see that his stylist did a good job making sure the clothes all fit her perfectly. He beckoned her over and hands the cup of tea in his hand to her, "Here, maybe you'll be a little more awake with this," he says, then yawns as well. "Hm, yawns sure are infectious." He makes another cup for himself and sits down beside her at the dining table, watching as Jiyoon continued to yawn between each sip, stretching her arms as she tried to wake up. She adjusts her glasses on her nose as she holds the cup to her face, the steam fogging up the lenses. 

"Where are we going?" She asked, finishing the rest of the tea and feeling a little more awake, "Especially because I have to wake up so early." She glares at him grumpily.

"A trip for us for the next... week or so, depending on how long you want to stay. I'm hoping we can stay until the new year. It'll be fun," he replies, drinking the rest of his own tea as well. Jiyoon looks up at the calendar and counts the days. One week, two weeks until the new year. So it'll be quite a long trip! Hehe.

He picks up their cups and washes them, drying his hands as he instructs her to grab some of their luggage to bring to the car. He takes the rest of them, making sure to be quiet and locking the door behind him. Jiyoon waits as he opens the car and they neatly put everything into the trunk. Having put everything away, they walk around and she slides into the passenger seat in front and stretches out her arms, "So, where're we heading?" She asks as she buckles her seat belt.
