Jiyoon met with her friends at the school cafeteria, pushing her tray of lunch onto the table and sliding onto the metal bench. "So, are we going shopping today or not?" she asked, raising her eyebrows.
Her friends turned their heads to look at her, Eunmi rolling her eyes and Soyeon scoffing down the food. Soyeon coughed lightly from eating so fast before patting the table, saying "Eat. Or I'll eat it for you," only it sounded more like, "Eee. Orwile ee ii or oouu," causing them all to laugh. Jiyoon split the wooden disposable chopstick in half and began to eat her lunch, picking up bits of rice to eat.
Eunmi leaned her elbows on the table, cupping her chin in her hands and said, "Where should we go shopping then?"
Soyeon shrugged and continued to eat while Jiyoon looked up, "I don't know. Maybe where we always go?"
"Oh duh. Of course, since it's easier to get there. So Seoul it is!" She clapped her hands and resumed eating. The whole group ate in companionable silence until the bell rang for the beginning of the next class.
"I'll see you guys at the gate then!" Jiyoon said, packing up the tray, disposing it at the clean-up counter and hurrying to class.

Shutting the door behind him while holding the package, Luhan shifted it in his arms and walked upstairs. He placed the box on Jiyoon's desk, quickly found a pair of scissors and cut open the tape. Opening the cardboard flaps, he rummaged through the foam until he found the real package he was looking for. The photo album and camera he had bought a few weeks ago. He smiled to himself, putting the smaller packages aside and closing the larger cardboard box.
Both of Jiyoon's parents weren't home and of course Jihoo was at school as well. Since he couldn't ask them where they kept the wrapping paper, he decided to go buy some instead. Luhan picked up his keys and other essentials remembering that he had left his sunglasses and hat in the car and locked up the house. He hurried to his car, sat inside and began to drive.
"I really do hope all this is worth it," he sighed, but was more than happy to be doing something so nice in his free time. He was glad he had no schedule, only practice which he goes to after lunch. He drove to the local shops and walked into a supermarket wearing his hat and sunglasses and hurried to the gift aisle. He searched through the variety sold and bought a simple silvery paper patterned with snowflakes.
Someone tapped his shoulder and Luhan turned around, slightly shocked and fervently hoped it was not an EXO fan. An ahjumma was standing there, a smile on her face as she held a shopping basket in another hand. "Ah, young man, are you buying a present for your girlfriend?" She asked, looking pointedly at the gift wrap he held in his hands. He didn't know how to answer, so nodded slowly.
"You look a little lost, I'll help you," She smiled brightly and took a hold of his elbow, pulling him along until she stopped in front of a stack of boxes and more gift wrap. She took down a simple red box, handing it to Luhan, grabbed a roll of white ribbon and then patted his hand as she gave it to him. "I bet you're girlfriend will be very happy to have such a handsome boyfriend," she said knowingly and then left before Luhan could thank her. He blinked and looked down at the things in his hands.
Without further thoughts, he hurried to the checkout and paid for the items. Luhan went back outside, pushing his sunglasses higher on his nose and strolled to his car. Time to go home and wrap her presents, he thought.

Jiyoon waited at the gate, checking her watch for the time. Her friends were certainly taking their time and she saw them ambling at a leisurely pace. "YAH! We should hurry! Or else we will only have 3 hours to shop, you snails!" She shouted at them.
Eunmi only shouted back, "We can always go tomorrow too, you know!" Only it didn't sound as convincing when she laughed after saying it. She ran up to Jiyoon and jumped, wrapping her arms around Jiyoon's neck in a bear hug, "I think I know where we'll be going for shopping~"
~~~
"Oh my god, I am not going in there!" Jiyoon said, mouth gaping and finger pointing at the store before her. Eunmi had successfully dragged them all to a lingerie shop, where the interior was painted a baby pink, and the items were hung up on racks for the world to see - frilly, lacy, skimpy bras and underwear. All of this only made Jiyoon blush and close her eyes from such an embarrassing sight.
Eunmi tugged on Jiyoon's arm, "Come on! Haven't you gone bra shopping before? Even Soyeon is more cooperative than you," she pointed at said person who was actually engaged in conversation with a salesperson.
Jiyoon shook her head and backed away, "Nuh uh. I mean, I've shopped for my underwear before but not all this... fancy stuff! And we're only going on a 6 day trip! Not a seduction trip or whatever! Now let go of me! You're hurting my arm!"
Eunmi only giggled and pulled Jiyoon into the shop with a surprisingly iron-grip despite her smaller frame. She thrust Jiyoon towards a salesperson and said quickly, "Get her something cute and feminine but not too fancy, since she'll never wear those I bet." She grinned and left Jiyoon to be dealt with.
The woman was young and easily understood Eunmi's request, and guided a rather embarrassed Jiyoon to a section of the store. The under garments displayed were less frilly or lacy but were still more than what Jiyoon wore - plain white with no lace or embellishments at all, since it's not like anyone could see through her clothes to see her underwear.
"What size are you?" the woman asked friendlily, a notepad and measuring tape in hand.
"Ah, I'm not sure. Usually I'm 8A..." she mumbled, "But I think I've grown," Jiyoon added, face becoming pink.
"That's okay. I'll measure you so follow me." The woman smiled and led her to a change room. "Alright, lift up your arms..." and Jiyoon obeyed. There was not much else she could do but follow the instructions and soon she was done and back at the same section of the store.
"So, you're currently a size 10A. Not much difference from 8A, and I suggest these," the woman picked out a few simpler sets, "since your friend said you preferred not to wear fancy underwear." Jiyoon made a noise in agreement. "And I totally understand. A lot of other women prefer simple bras and such. Here, try these on."
Jiyoon took them and went to try them on. After a while, having picked out only three and paid for them, she came out to see her friends waiting patiently outside. "Look what you made me buy!" Jiyoon held up the pastel pink shopping bag, decorated on the front in sparkly silver letters with the store's name. She was embarrassed just carrying the bag, even when both of her friends had their own bags matching hers.
"Yeah, yeah," Eunmi waved away Jiyoon's complaints and held her hand, "Let's go buy some clothes now!"
For the good part of the next two hours, the three girls spent their time going through almost every store that sold female clothing just because they could. Most of the time, Eunmi dragged the other two to the expensive stores to try on clothes for fun. Jiyoon would then scold her while Soyeon just stood aside and laughed at their antics, slightly embarrassed that her friends could be so loud.
Jiyoon ended up with four bags of new clothes with at least enough items for an outfit in each bag because Eunmi had "Insist[ed] these since all your clothes are so unflattering and unfeminine! You're freaking engaged after all!" And now she's wasted a good portion of her pocket money on new clothes. Though, Jiyoon must admit, they were very pretty, and she rarely splurged on herself.
Eunmi and Soyeon had less bags, only two each filled with some necessities for the trip. They had both promised that they will share if Jiyoon was missing anything since they had made her spend all her money on new clothes. They parted ways at the entrance, waving goodbye and leaving with smiles.
Jiyoon looked down at her hands. She sighed, "Eunmi is such a shopaholic. Sheesh," and headed home. The sky was becoming a deep orange as the afternoon slowly dissolved into evening and Jiyoon decided it would be safer and easier if she caught the bus.
