Ever since I was young I had always been told 'You are evil! Don't say stupid silly things like please or thank you! Live your role, this is your destiny!' Clio had been like a mother to me, and for a while I lived those words to the fullest. She would always greet me when I came back home with a 'What darkness have you spread today?' I usually did stupid things like stuck gum in a girls hair or cursed a hen to not lay eggs with the spells Clio taught me, or even slept with some village girl I had no feelings for, back then I wouldn't even think twice. Clio was always there, she was my home when I had none. My parents found out very quickly what I was and abandoned me almost immediately. Clio found me and took care of me. 'Your parents were stupid to throw away you, my little Cian'. Though, this changed... I met her, that little girl. I decided she would be my victim that day, but no matter what I did she just smiled and said 'it's alright, it was an accident' she wouldn't get mad or sad, she just kept forgiving me. I started following her around and she taught me that it was okay to be good. It didn't matter what people said I was because I, only I, could change my destiny. Then one day that girl wasn't in my life anymore, a coffin left in her stead. Clio had killed her. From that day forward I vowed I would be good, not to save myself, not for myself, for her.

We kept moving through the night, taking small breaks here and there. My legs carried me shaking from exhaustion.
"We are almost to Eris" Blaikes voice brought sweet relief from the deafening silence.
"What's Eris?"
"Eris is the town of chaos"
"Didn't that street performer say something about Eris?"
"Yeah he did. You see, the town of Eris is full of organized chaos. It's always bustling. There's a circus there and it's very uh... steampunk. The town that is.."
"So the town is, steampunk?"
"Yeah" he laughed "It's full of weird machines and old things, lot's of metal. Lets see how can I explain this? Ok, you know how Astrea was light and kind of classy and soft? Well, Eris is bright definitely, but it's a darker tone than Astrea. It's loud and kind of bam in your face, and it's kind of like a fair but the fair is 24-7"
"Sounds intriguing"
"Yea" Cians broken voice finally spoke up, trying to shake off his own sadness and join the growingly light mood "It should be fun"
Once we finally reached the place I understood what Blaike meant, loud was an understatement, even the colors were screaming.
Bright colors were hanging everywhere, all sorts of contraptions were whizzing and whirling, weird things flying in the air. There were people walking on stilts and the buildings looked, well wonky! They looked like they were made of bronze and silver, smoke stacks pouring out of their chimneys. Lights shown down the streets as swing music played. People were moving here and there, it was hard to keep up with everything.
"Fresh fried fish!"
"Caramel apples!"
"Buy the lovely lady a gift here why don't ya?"
Vendors were yelling above the crowd, we found a dark unoccupied alleyway and collapsed in it.
"You weren't kidding about it being loud and bright" I laughed
"I kind of like it" Cians eyes faintly sparkled, the place was so different from his home.
"Yea well this is where we are bunking for the night so be prepared for tomorrow morning, sleeping in an alleyway is no favor for your back"
