"I'm not sure about this." Oliver said to Dana.

"You'll be fine, like you said you have changed."

"They don't know that."

"Then show them."

Dana managed to make it back to her parents' house. With her she brought Oliver ignoring his protests. He was worried that he would be shunned again and he didn't want to live that again, it was bad enough for him the first time.

"Why can't I just stay home and then you go tell them that I changed then I don't have to confront them. That seems like a great plan to me. I can turn back and go home now while you continue on. Good? Good."

"No, you are going whether you want to or not. You have to do this, it could change everything. It might be the best thing you ever do with your whole life. Come clean to your family."

"Go."

They were standing in front of the front door. Oliver was scared to knock on the door and Dana was trying to comfort him into doing it. He kept coming up with random ideas that involved him not knocking on the door.

"I'm scared."

"There is nothing to be afraid of. Just do it."

"That's easy for you to say. They don't hate your guts."

"They don't hate you."

"How do you know?"

"They are your parents, they can't hate you, it's like illegal."

"Yeah, but still," he continued to stare at the door fear in his eyes.

Dana sighed. She grabbed his hand and brought it up to the door and knocked.

Once

Twice

Silence.

They could hear shuffling from behind the door. The door was quickly opened. Dana's mother appeared from behind the door. Her eyes brightened with hope as she saw Dana. Then she saw Oliver. Her eyes changed from hope to fear in a split second.

"Get away from me." Dana's mother said quickly as she stared in shock. She grabbed Dana's wrist and tried to pull her away from Oliver, but Dana stood her ground and she didn't move. Dana's mother stated at her a mix of confusion and fear evadable in her eyes.

"Why are you doing this? Why are you here?" Dana's mother shouted at Oliver who calmly took the yelling given to him.

"Mom, stop."

"Dana you don't know what he is capable of, he is dangerous he could kill you in a second and take no feeling to it. Stop trying to defend him, he isn't worthy."

"How can you say that? He is your son you gave birth to him and your cursing him for having an interest. I have an interest in things that I shouldn't get into, are you going to curse me for it?"

Her mother just looked at her dumbfounded. "You shouldn't stick up for him." she mumbled.

"I can do what I want, it hasn't been a problem for the last 17 years of my life, I don't see why it should be a problem now. I have been on my own till now. I know how this world works. It's cruel, it's terrifying, and it's so much more dangerous than my twin standing next to me. I've seen things, I have experienced things. I know the twist and turns that life can throw at you. I have been dodging them by whole life. Anything that he could do to me, wouldn't be bad to what I have grown up to. You don't know anything about what I have been through, learn that before you start to try to tell me what I can and can't do. Right now, I make my own decisions."

"I'm your mother."

"The one who I just met for the first time in my life."

"I'm sorry but there was nothing I could do, after you left, my whole world fell apart."

"You still had Oliver. Why did you kick him out?"

"I can't have someone like him living in my home."

"And what kind of person is Oliver?"

"He left all the time to see that old, no good witch. He thought I didn't know about him going and leaving to learn spells and make potions, I did. I knew everything. Word had gotten around of him setting that curse on the fountain; I couldn't take it no more. People thought he was dangerous. When people thought he was dangerous they immediately thought the rest of the family was. I had to let him leave. I t was the only way to keep the reputation of my family clean."

"You know I never did set a curse on that fountain." Oliver spoke up.

Dana and her mother looked towards him.

"Then I was still an amateur. I didn't know what I was doing; I didn't know any advanced spells. All I did was set a bubbling spell on the fountain." Oliver started laughing. "I thought it was such a cool spell, I used it all the time."

They both looked at him, surprised.

"So everything I heard was a lie."

"Mother, the thing you didn't know is that after I left the town I came straight here. The thing is, the town that I supposedly set a 'curse' on was the town that Dana was in. I came to tell you that so all your grief would go away and you would get your daughter back, but the moment you opened the door, you kicked me out. I could never bring myself to do anything about my discovery. Everything had been replaced with anger at the time. Everything had gone wild."

"I'm sorry, I never knew." Dana's mother mumbled in a soft voice.

"Are we good?" Dana asked both of them.

Oliver looked at his mother, "Will you let me in again?"

"Of course I would, you are my son after all."

They both smiled. There was peace again after all the rough years.

Dana's mother smiled and brought them both into a huge hug, squishing them both.

"I lost my two babies and now they are back and in my arms."
