Caspar didn't have the best life. Being adopted and finding out by your brother, well not really brother considering he was adopted, is not the best way to find out. On top of that his step mom had kept a box of old things from his previous parents and refused to give them to him.

"Why can't I just see the god dam box!" Caspar shouted as his mother stormed out the front door to one of the many "lovers" as she called them.

"Because you ungrateful brat, I'm your family now. So what was once yours in no longer yours. Now get you ass inside and make sure you and your brother are in bed. You remember the last time you disobeyed me." Caspar most definitely remembered. Shad beet him silly. To the point he had to ask his boyfriend sister, Zoe, to help him cover up the bruises.

Without another word the door was slammed shut and Caspar was left standing in the middle of the room. A sad look plastered on his face.

Without a second thought Caspar grabbed his phone when he felt the tears running down his face. "Pick up, pick up." Caspar mumbled to himself as he heard ring after ring. He just wanted to hear the one voice he could always relay on

"Casp what's wrong?" Caspar l
internally smiled, happy that he was finally hearing the voice that made him feel safe even now.

"I don't get it Joe, why does she hate me?" And for the next hour Joe listened to Caspar talk. Only adding comment when he felt like he needed to, to calm the blonde headed boy down.

"Casp you are the greatest. Your the best. She, she won't matter forever. I promise. You can beat this I promise." Caspar slumped down the wall, felling both mentally and physically exhausted. "I think you should get some rest Casp. I'll see you tomorrow morning. And remember I love you. Forever and always."

The next day Caspar went at it. Picking the lock on his mothers door. Making sure to be extra quiet, he flinched when he heard the loud creak of the door opening. Even though his mother wasn't home, his brother was. And his brother would do anything to make mommy proud.

The next five minutes Caspar searched through the room, finding everything and anything but that box until he finally looked up. Hidden behind piles of laundry was the old dusty box.

Caspar beamed at himself in the mirror when he found it. Making sure to leave everything pretty much as it was Caspar pulled away the box. He could already feel the tears coming. For the first time he would be able to look at his parents.

"Casp? What the hell are you doing?" Caspar flung around when he heard the loud whisper come from his adorable boyfriend. "You trying to get yourself killed." Joe even knew the number one rule in the house. Don't even dare go into his mothers room.
