Joe looked down at the various boxes scattered around his feet. The day was finally the day where he would fly out to America to go to college. As much as he was dreading today he was still extremely excited. "You ready to go broseph?"

Joe looked up from the pile and turned his head towards the door that was now wide open and stared at his sister. Despite her cheery attitude Joe could still tell that she was holding in tears. "Umm yeah. Hey it's okay you know. I fly back during breaks and you can fly there when ever you want. You always have a place to stay."

"I know. It's not going to be the same though." Joe gave his sister a small smile, before running over to her and giving her a hug. Slowly the tears started to fall out of both their eyes as they held each other. "I should probably finish."

Zoe gave her brother one last squeeze, turning away and shutting the door leaving Joe to his thoughts. He looked at the last thing he had the pack. It was a picture of Caspar and him on Joe last birthday.

The brunette slowly walked towards the picture, reaching for it as if a single touch could make it all fall apart. In reality it probably could.

Both boys were walking on eggshells around each other. Ever since Joe had made plans to move to America, Caspar would just blow up at him for no reason. There were no more late night talks, no more sneaking out to see each other. No more sitting on the floor with a bowl of popcorn playing FIFA. There just wasn't any more. Caspar wasn't even there to say goodbye.

Joe grabbed the picture finally putting it on the top of his clothes and closing his suitcase. They were already ten minutes late and Joe couldn't afford to be late even a minute. He had gotten the lay possible flight that would give him just enough time to get settled into his dorm before classes started.

Once Joe was downstairs everything turned a little more glum. His dad looked to the floor before looking back up at him and giving him a weak smile. "So I guess once we get back here I'll ship everything to your dorm." Joe nodded his head, not really knowing what to say. Joe's head bolted up when he heard his dad start to speak again. "So is Caspar meeting us at the airport or-"

"Or nothing. He's not coming. I don't get it dad. We have been through so much and now just because I'm following my dream he's acting like this. I just want to know why." Joe bit his lips, trying his best to keep the tears in.

"Maybe he just-"

"Joe we should go if you want to make your flight." Both men toward their heads towards Zoe, who was playing with her hair in the doorway.

"She right Joseph. Have a good time and don't get into any trouble and make sure to skype lots. And just, I'm going to miss you." Joe ran towards his dad, giving him a hug.

"I'll miss you to dad."

"Well Joe this is where I stay I guess. I'll miss you little bro." Joe nodded his head. Giving his sister one last hug before walking towards the check in desk. (Again from America, we have different airport security. So yeah)

Joe took one last breath as he heard his plane being called by the intercom. He had thought that Caspar would come running in here and say goodbye and maybe even leave with him if he was lucky. He just wasn't lucky though. Any signs of the South African were lost.

Joe boarded the plane, putting his bag in the over head compartment. Making sure to take his headphones out. He sat down in the seat closeted to the window. He looked out and he could have sworn he saw the blonde hair he knew so well, but it couldn't be him. Even if it was Joe was on the plane and couldn't leave.

"Please fasten your seat belts and the plane should be taking off in just a few minutes." Joe fastened his seat belt, putting in his headphones and putting the most recent song he downloaded on. Making sure to put his phone on airplane mode before sliding it back into his pocket. He closed his eyes and just like that everything was black.

He didn't wake up for another hour when he felt a tap on hue shoulder. He pulled out on earphone just so he could hear the person without waking up. "Is this seat taken."

Joe looked up and the person and almost fainted. Standing right above him was the one person he wanted to see. "No."

"Good. I'm Caspar by the way. Going to LA to see if I can get my acting career up and going. Who might you be." Joe had to hold in a laugh when Caspar reached a hand out for him to shake.

"Joe. I'm going to university in LA." Joe let go of Caspar's hand, dropping it back down to his lap. "I can't believe this."

"Why?"

"Because you didn't even come to say goodbye and you were acting so weird this past month."the blonde looked thoughtful for a second before speaking.

"Well I didn't come to say goodbye because I was already running late, plus that would have ruined the surprise. And I just, I didn't want you to go. Your the best thing that's ever happened to me and I don't know." Caspar looked down at his hands as a deep red blush invaded his face.

"So your really coming to LA for me?" Caspar's head shots up and a smile erupted on his face.

"No I'm coming for my career you just happen to be going there to. Coincidence." Joe smiled down at his hands. The next years were defiantly going to be something.
