Prompt: Joe and Caspar make cookies

Words:1000+

Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house. Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse. But that wouldn't be true, no. Joe was upstairs running through the list of ingredients he needed to bake cookies. Caspar was fast asleep downstairs in their bedroom. Joe wanted to make cookies for Christmas Day, which was only 3 hours away. "Where the bloody hell is the flour."

Joe looked through the cabinets, hoping that he could find the flour. He suddenly remember that Caspar had managed to drop the whole bag on the floor a couple of days ago, when he was attempting to cook something. Running a hand through his hair, he decided that he had to go out and get some.

Sighing, he walked over to where his coat lay on the table, picking it up and putting it. He slipped on his shoes next, making sure to tie them tight, after what happened yesterday.

Caspar and Joe had been walking around London, just spending time together. It had rained the night before and there was ice everywhere. Joe didn't realize his shoe was untied till he fell flat on his face. Caspar just laughed at him, before he helped him up. Joe brushed the snow off himself, before walking the rest of the way home.

It had been so embarrassing when he saw people standing around. After making sure that he had everything he left. Locking the door, he left his flat making his way out into the chilly air of December.

He pulled his coat closer to him and stuffed he hands in the pockets to keep them war. The freezing cold air, mixing with the brisk wind only making him wish he didn't leave more. Joe hated leaving the house at night. Something about the dark and not knowing what's in it scared him.

He finally made it to the corner store when he realized he had forgotten to write Caspar a note. He was already there so it made no sense for him to go back now without the flour. He checked each of his pockets looking for his phone. Only to not have it there. He sighed again before getting what he needed knowing Caspar was most likely still in a deep slumber.

The woman at the register had been a bit grumpy. She didn't even smile, let alone say anything. Shrugging it off as sleep deprived he made his way out to the cold.

Instantly the cold hit him. Hissing as his fingers became icicles as he walked down the street. No on was out this late at night, and even if they were they were driving.

While Joe was gone Caspar had a craving for a late night snack. He reached out his hand feeling for the boy he loved so dearly. Only he wasn't there. He must be upstairs. Caspar thought. He immediately shivered, missing the extra body heat from Joe.

"Joe?" The blonde asked as he made his way up the stairs. The kitchen light was still on so he thought the older boy was in there. "Joe!" Caspar yelled when he didn't see the brunette. Panicking he pulled out his phone dialing Joe's number. It went straight to voice mail after a couple of rings. He rang a couple more times and sent a couple texts before putting his phone down and sitting at the table.

Where could he have gone? Caspar thought to himself before putting his head in his hands. This was the first time Joe had ever left and didn't leave a note. What if he left? What if we broke up? What if he-

Caspar was cut short from his thoughts when he heard the front door open turning quickly to see who it was. Once he noticed Joe, Caspar jumped up from the chair, and wrapping his arms around him. "Where were you? I was so incredibly worried." Caspar whispered into the shorter boys ear.

"I had to go get flour. I was going to surprise you with cookies in the morning. It being Christmas Day tomorrow and everything." Joe said, but his voice was muffled by the shirt Caspar had on.

"Well why don't we just make them together. It'll be cute. We can film it!" Caspar yelled throwing his hands up in the air. Joe laughed a little before making his way over to the kitchen.

They set up the camera, during Joe's intro before starting. Once they had all the ingredients out and into at bowl, they started mixing. Now was the time they could really use a electric mixer. "This is taking forever."

"Your the one who wanted to help me." Joe sighed out before mixing the dough again. After a few more minutes the dough was ready.

They rolled it out and cut little Christmas trees and stars out of the dough with cookie cutters. Joe's looked like they were suppose to where Caspar's looked slightly...different.

"These are going to taste awesome JoJo." Caspar said as he sniffed the air. The cookies had been in the oven for a few minutes now. Caspar was laying on the couch with Joe between his legs as he waited for the timer to go off. Joe played with Caspar's finger and Caspar played with Joe's hair.

The whole house was silent before the beeping noise sounded. Joe stood up pulling Caspar up with him. They made their way into the kitchen, hand in hand as usual.

Once the cookies had cooled for a few minuets, Joe put them on a plate and brought them back to the couch. Caspar had gotten board watching Joe watch the cookies. So instead of standing there he went and waited on the couch.

"Wow Casp these actually taste good!" Joe yelled. Caspar covered his ears trying to make Joe shut up. He loved Joe, but Caspar was slowly falling back to a deep slumber and didn't want to be woken up from Joe's loud voice.

"I'm surprised we didn't burn the house down." Caspar laughed out as he snuggled further into the couch. They had put a Christmas playlist on for background music.

"I think I'm falling in love with you Caspar."

"I already am."
