I looked up and saw Sao, standing next to me and walked down the blank hall. I looked at her door and the memories of her and Father flooded back to me.
I looked back at Sao and reached for the handle nervously. I turned the knob and opened the door.
Inside the room, I stood staring at the walls. There were pictures. Pictures of me and Mother and Father.
"Um... Should I go?" Sao asked me sheepishly.
"I would like it better if you would stay." I murmured.
He stayed. I looked at the walls, touched things, sat on the bed.
"Um... Is this you, Nikki?" Sao asked from the corner of the room, pointing to a picture. I walked over and saw the most shocking picture of me.
My mother and fathers wedding photo. I was walking behind Mother, wearing a white dress with a gold trim running across the bottom hem.
I stood there, looking at the picture, then realized why I was in here in the first place.
"I'll get the contacts," I said and walked to the bathroom. I found the vile that was sitting in the medicine cabinet and walked out, giving the small, distinctive capsule to Sao. I found myself not completely satisfied in giving it away to my friend. Maybe it's because these were Fathers contacts and I barely remember him.
Just then, there was yet another knock at the door.
