+++As soon as I walked through the front door, I was bombarded by Audrey's two small dogs that consisted of so much fur, no one could their eyes even if they tried. As I bent down to pet them, Audrey ran down the stairs and picked me up, embracing me in a tight hug.
"Ohh, hi Kara! Hi hi hi hi!" Audrey stated excitedly, showing that she was happy to see me. She set me down and took my overnight bag, throwing into the living room. "Okay, this is going to be our last sleepover until I'm fully recovered after the surgery, so we have to make it a good one."
"Well of course we do! Okay, I brought all of my nail stuff so that your nail beds aren't total shit while you're in that drab hospital. I also brought the first season of Grimm on DVD, along with my favorite scary stories saved on my phone," I stated, listing off several things that we could do tonight to entertain ourselves.
"Well, my parents are out for date night until about midnight and both of my sisters are at friends' houses, so we have the whole house to ourselves pretty much all night," Audrey responded. I grinned and high fived her, celebrating that we were able to do whatever we wanted tonight.
Walking into the kitchen, I saw the entire set up that Audrey had created.Displayed upon the counter were bowls of popcorn, chips with nacho cheese and guacamole, cheese puffs, and chocolate brownies. "Everything is set up and ready to go down in the basement. I was thinking we could do nails first thing and then eat and binge watch Grimm while they dry. Then we'll do scary stories and go to bed. When we get up in the morning, I thought it would be fun to make ourselves a huge breakfast because Corey wanted to come over and spend some time with me before the surgery and I'm sure he would love homemade breakfast," Audrey said persuasively, trying to make sure I was okay with having Corey crash our sleepover tomorrow morning.
"Oh, you mean all three of us eat breakfast and then I have a one sided conversation while the two of you try to have a decent make out session before you're too cripple for your lips to function?" I said in a sarcastic tone, slightly disappointed in her for allowing him to ruin our whole girls only plan. But I didn't really mind because I knew she would do all the same for me if a situation came up like that with Tyler. Tyler, I thought. Is Audrey going to ask how things went with Tyler the other night? I mean, part of girl's' night is gossiping about boys. Stop it, I thought. If she asks, I'll tell her, but I'm not going to just boast about it. She has her own stuff to worry about with the surgery coming up.
After my statement, Audrey looked at me in mock confusion. "Gasp! How did you possibly discover my master plan? Chill out, Kara. I know you two are like siblings and that you wouldn't mind sitting through a small make out session, at least for the sake of my well being. You know I would do the same for you. Speaking of which," Oh shit. "How did things go with Tyler go the other night?" She said devilishly, a smirk painted across her face.
"You might want to grab some food and sit down with me. We have a lot to discuss." Grabbing the bowl of chips and both forms of dip, we took a seat on the couch while Audrey looked at me eagerly, waiting for me to spill about the other night's events. "Okay, so here's the low down."
After I gushed about the actions that occurred between me and Tyler at the ice rink, Audrey looked at me in total astonishment. "You two kissed?!"
"Uh yeah," I stated in a squeaky voice, biting my lip to hold back my excitement.
"You, Kara Bloomington, kissed one of the most attractive guys in the freshman class, Tyler Harris, without telling me, Audrey Williams, your best friend, about this miraculous event IMMEDIATELY after it transpired?" She shouted at me in joy. I nodded, grinning my ass off. Audrey lunged at me, forcing me to collapse against the couch as we squealed in glee. "How dare you keep this from me? This is absolute treason!"
