Lydia's pov:
"Can you catch a scent?" I ask Scott, giving him the jacket that Stiles left behind. He takes it, holding it up to his nose for a moment before shaking his head.
"All I can smell is snow..." He says, handing it back and I nod in appreciation.

"Then how are we going to find him?" Allison asks.
"Deaton... We never learned what Deaton told him the other day. Maybe he-"
"I highly doubt he told your boyfriend to leave you." Scott interrupts me and I raise a brow at him. That's exactly what Deaton would do. But only for good reason.

"And then he was gone." I finish explaining to Deaton what happens and he nods. "Did you...tell him anything? Tell him to leave?" I ask cautiously causing the vet to sigh.

He walks around the room, gathering up small glass bottles from under hidden cabinets and setting them on the metal table in the middle.
"I told him about the Tengu. He'll soon learn about the Shuten Dōji and Aka Manto though. What I didn't tell him was that the more he becomes human, the more disruptive and corrupt he becomes." Deaton begins with what I know will end up being a long speech.

"What are Tengu?" Scott asks.
"The Japanese snow mountain goblins. Around the fourteenth century, they reeked havoc among the local people. They have beaks and wings though are often mistaken for something of a gryffin due to the four legs."
"And they're coming after Stiles?" Allison asks.
"They're probably following him as we speak. The Tengu have a habit of taking loved ones, specifically children, but when there are no children..." Deaton trails off, looking to me and I gulp.

Stiles left to protect me. He's doing what he thinks is right for me.
"And the Shuten Dōji?" My voice shakes.
"This, is a little more dangerous. Fifty feet tall, red body, five horns and fifteen eyes. Sounds more like a fairy tale told to children but it's much more menacing in reality. The legend for the medieval period claims that Japanese warriors cut its head off. But that was the legend part."

"Can't wait to hear about Aka Manto." Scott speaks sarcastically under his breath.
"Another Japanese demon. One version of the story describes how it would hide in the woman's bathroom. Aka Manto asks if they'd like a red cloak or a blue. If the woman responds red, he tears the flesh from her body to make it appear as though she is wearing a red cloak. If the woman responds blue, he strangled her to death, making the skin turn blue.  If saying another color Aka Manto is rumored to drag you straight to hell. If Stiles encounters the demon, he'll be asked the same questions although he'll probably be swift enough to fight for his life. But, if Aka Manto wins, he'll gain Stiles powers."

"Remind me to never use public restrooms ever again." I say wide eyed.
"What is it with Japan?! Coming up with all these weird bathroom demons that rip your flesh off!" Allison exclaims.

"We have to find him. We have to help him. If what you're saying is true, and you being you it probably is, then Stiles can't do it alone. Japanese demons? Sure maybe he can freeze one but honestly, he can't do this alone." I stand abruptly.

Scott nods, standing with me.
"I'll help." He says with a small smile.
"I don't have a choice, do I?" Allison groans and I shake my head. She gets up with a sigh, rubbing my back and giving me an encouraging smile. I turn to Deaton.
"Where would he be going?" I ask.
"Yuki, I suppose." Deaton says.

"Let me guess, there's some secret Japanese snow place somewhere in Beacon Hills." Allison grumbles.
"That's exactly what it is."
