SOMEONE YOU DON'T TALK TO AS MUCH AS YOU LIKE

Dear Jessica Quetimmer,

Remember that time in 3rd grade, you were new and Billy Kellster decided to pick on you and the exact same day I punched him in the face and we became best friends?

Those were the good times.

Or when in grade 6, Melanie Blacksmith took a pair of scissors and was about to cut your ponytail off like a 5-year-old in a daycare but before she could I punched her?

Or even that time in grade 9, Gabriel Jarkle purposely sent you on a wild goose chase across the school so he could hang a bucket of red paint on the door for when you arrived. And remember you caught up with the teacher and talked to him while walking to class and sadly he opened the door first and it splattered all over him and still I punched Gabriel in the face?

I did a lot of punching back then.

But I do remember that time in grade 10 when we compared our schedule to each other's and we didn't even have a single period together. Not even lunch. We were both depressed about that and promised to keep talking.

2 years later, the most we've said is "hi" to each other in the hallway.

I miss punching people in the face for you.

As much as I hope you will miss me.

Yours forever, Veronica
