Today is the day everyone who knew Veronica will mourn. Mourn over the loss of someone dear to them.
When Veronica's parents have found the letters and the body of the young girl, they were devastated. They read every letter and sent them out to each recipient.
No one took it well.
Cassandra cried for a full day upon receiving the news and so did Victoria, Jessica, Patty, and Zoe. Jimmy, the boy from the flower shop locked himself in his room for a week. Skylene came back for awhile to attend the funeral while Zack called and told them his condolences. Charlie and Rebecca mourned and lost themselves in a sea of regret and guilt, they knew they were an important cause for this and that's what hurt them the most. Jonah took it pretty harshly, he snapped at his parents and locked himself away while hugging some items that once belonged to Veronica as he cried. But the ones who had it the worst was Adelina and Jake. Jake felt completely crushed knowing he rejected his only love and that pushed her over the edge. "Now I'd never get to hold her in my arms, I'd never get to tell her how much I love her, how much I need her here with me. I'd never get to tell her anything." Is what he thought over and over again.
Lastly, Adelina. She, by far, took it the worst. After years of watching Veronica slowly crumble, this put her over the edge and she snapped. First, it started off with the friends who became distant. Cassandra, Patty, and Jessica. She just screamed at them asking them questions about if she wasn't good enough or was she was not satisfactory. Then she went to Victoria, Zoe and other members of their group. This time she only held back a little. She screamed at them about how they could have done that for years when they were the best of friends, at the end someone had to hold her back or she would've attacked them. Soon came, Jonah. This time she just asked a lot of questions and all were answered. Apparently, Rebecca made an edited video of Veronica talking disgracefully wrong about Jonah, saying he was a pathetic wimp and other things that were terribly horrible. Then came Charlie, all she did was slap him, kick him in the family jewels and called him an ignorant asshole.
But she still wasn't done, she was out to quench her desire for revenge.
Next was Rebecca. She wouldn't stop screaming even after Rebecca fell to her knees and started crying. Someone eventually stopped Adelina before she can physically hurt Rebecca, well that is until she punched her in the face.
Soon she visited Veronica's home. Even though it was disrespectful she completely shamed Veronica's parents. By the end of her lecture, she was even more disgusted by them and left the house. Now there was one more person left,
Jake.
She wanted answers and she wanted them now.
She barged into his home and completely ignored the questioning looks from the parents and their tear-streaked face. She marched up the stairs and slammed the door open. There he was, standing on his balcony with a bottle of rum in hand and the letters in the other.
He's drunk.
Is what Adelina thought.
She slowly walked up to him and rested her arms on the railing, both looking forward and neither of them saying anything.
"Why?"
"Why what?"
"Why did she do it?"
