"Hello, little girl." I heard a voice as I woke up. The voice sounded raspy, but I could still tell that it was a woman's voice. I put my head up, looked the scraggly woman in the eye and said "I'm not a little girl." "Well I'm sorry. What are you doing on the street? Did you run away from home?" the woman asked. "I did, in fact, run away from home." I said strictly, my eyes looking directly into hers. "Why do you care, anyway?" I asked her. "Well, you just looked so hungry that I thought I would take you home and give you something to eat and let you sleep in my house." she said kindly, yet firmly. "Really? You would do that, for me?" I asked her, my gaze softening. "Of course!" she exclaimed. So I got up, and followed her. She kept looking back to what I thought was making sure I was safe. But boy would I be wrong.

"Now, go wash up and I'll start making dinner." she told me. So I went to the sink and started to wash up. Then, all of a sudden, the door slammed shut and I heard something go against the door. "Hello?" I asked. I banged on the door. "Hello??" I said a little louder. I started kicking the door. "What did you put in front of this door?!" I yelled. Then I heard a scratching on the floor as the woman moved something and the door cracked open a little bit. "Do you want to come out?" she asked me, her voice making my heart beat faster. "Yes." I said in a small voice. "Then follow me." she said. And I did. I had to, instead of possibly risking my life. She led me to a small bedroom and closed the door. Then, all of a sudden, she started walking up to me and she was about to grab me when I slapped her. She dropped to her knees and grasped her face where I hit her. Before she could do anything to me, I kicked her. I ran out of the door while she was still on the floor. I grabbed my things and ran as fast as I could. I found a street corner far away from her house and the street corner I was at earlier. It was dark out, so I ran into a restaurant that was close by for shelter. I stayed there, thinking about the best root to get to the prison. I got out the door and started to walk away.

I saw the front of the prison as I neared it and saw the entrance that I originally found. But all of a sudden, fatigue washed over me and I had to sit down. I rested my head on my knees and fell into a deep sleep.
