Jack wasn't in the dining room for lunch, and he wasn't in his room during free time.
"What happened to Jack?" I asked a nurse during free time.
"He was taken to the infirmary after his therapy session. He'll be okay sweetie."
"Can I see him?"
"Let me ask," the nurse said as he walked away.
I leaned against the wall, trying not to freak out. They were probably just evaluating him early this week.
