Alex's P.O.V

Jack's anxiety attack part 2
I was woken by the sound of my door slamming open.

"Alex," the nurse said quickly, "It's Jack."

I threw off my covers and ran down the hall with her.

We reached Jack's door, and I opened it, barely registering the nurses and doctors trying to hold him down.

I recognized his symptoms quickly- he was having an anxiety attack.

"Let go of him," I yelled. "He's having an anxiety attack and you're scaring him more!"

The nurses and doctors released him, and he instantly curled into a ball and pulled at his hair.

I jumped into his bed, wrapped my arms around him, and started whispering in his ear.

"Shhh. It's okay Jacky. I'm here. Breathe. You're okay."

It took a long time, but Jack's breathing eventually returned to normal.

He turned over and hugged me tight.

Thank you, he traced on my back.

"You're welcome Jacky."

Scary.

"I know Jacky, but you're safe with me. I won't let the monsters touch you."

He snuggled closer to men and I noticed all the doctors and nurses had left us.

I almost kissed him- I was so close- but it had to wait. He needed comfort right now, and kissing him could also lead to another panic attack.

Plus I didn't even know if he liked me...
