Hospital For Souls (Jalex)

Jack's P.O.V

I heard a familiar scream.

Alex.

I sat up and was about to get out of bed when Alex was wheeled through the door on a stretcher.

He looked insane- literally. He was trying to scratch at his skin, but was held down by restraints.

And he kept screaming his dead brother's name.

The nurses stuck an needle in his arm and he finally started to quiet.

One of the nurses noticed me and quickly closed the curtains around Alex's stretcher. She came over to me.

"Alex is going to be okay," she said. "He just got a little stressed and needs a break."

I wanted to slap her. Alex was clearly not okay.

The nurse turned away before I could ask anything. A security guard entered and went through Alex's curtains.

Suicide watch. Holy hell, he really was not okay.

A nurse went through Alex's curtains and, after a few minutes, I heard the slow beep of a heart monitor.

Good lord. I hoped against hope that Alex would be okay and live through whatever happened.

The nurse came over to me.

"Hi Jack. Here's your evening medication."

I took the pills from her hand and swallowed them dry.

She smiled and walked away.
