"I'm sorry about my friends, masyado lang siguro sila naexcite that I'm hanging out with a girl." Alex apologized, nasa rooftop sila ng bahay ni Stephy. Kaunti na lang ang mga bisita.
Tany sipped her wine. "Its okay, I know some of them wala nga lang chance to know them more..and you don't need to explain, I understand."
Naupo sila sa seesaw inspired na upuan, ang rooftop kasi ay may mga hanging gardens ng orchids na collection ni Stephy.
Alex sighed. "I felt as if I did something wrong."
Medyo dim light ang bulblight kaya hindi masyado makita ni Alex ang reaksyon ni Tany. Inisahang lagok ng dalaga ang wine sa kopita niya, she wanted more but then nahihiya siya kay Alex na hindi uminom ng gabing iyon.
"You're just paranoid Alex, people's eyes were on us..mga green-minded sila akala nila there's something between us, from my mom up here." natatawang saad ni Tany. She felt his eyes on her but she controlled herself not to gaze at him..she was afraid of herself to see whats on his eyes.
"Its getting cold here.." anang binata sabay tanggal ng coat niyang suot at inilagay sa dalaga.
"Thanks.." she secretly blushed by his sweet gesture. "Are you sure you wanted to stay here?".
"Come on Tany, lumuwas ako not just to go here but to see you." tila hindi na nito napigilan ang sarili.
"Alex..."
"Yeah I know, this must be too fast...honestly, since the day we met in Bali I really look for you." diga uli ni Alex.
That's the moment na tumingin si Tany sa binata, she saw fondness in his eyes. "You must be kidding." anyang paiwas.
Natawa ang binata. "Ikaw ba namang halikan ng isang magandang babae out of nowhere, who will not be curious?"
"So you're curious?"
"Well not until now, I think I'm..."
"..hay naku nandito lang pala kayong dalawa." bigla ay singit ni Stephy.
Bigla ay nag-iwasan ang dalawa. Napansin naman ni Stephy ang kakaibang kilos ng dalawa.
"Alex hinihintay ka nila sa poolside, you just disappear..and Tany you'll sleep here tonight."
"Okay.." sabay pang sagot ng dalawa. Bumaba si Alex at naiwan ang magkaibigan.
"I know you need this." Inilabas ni Stephy ang isang bote ng wine.
"Thanks.." sabay salin sa kopita.
"So how are you and Alex?" usisa nito.
"We're friends..we're okay." casual niyang sagot.
Stephy rolled her eyeballs. "Come on Tany...this is the only time that he give his time to a girl, its almost two years na woman hater si Alexis Gregorio."
"He's just helping me, giving me advices coz hed been in my place before..broken."
"You're not broken anymore, you're alive and happy now."
"You really think I can love again?"
"Yes ofcoarse, Alex is there..he is a good man."
"Stephy hindi porke hindi na ako masungit sa kanya..there's something between us na..siguro I'm not yet ready."aniya. "and besides ang sabi mo nga what happened in Bali, its my fault."
"Look Tany, you look good together...maybe you're just unconscious about it."
Nilagok na lang ng dalaga ang alak sa kopita niya. "It's something that doesn't need to be rush, Steph."
