"Okay Melody, in order for me to be able to find your parents I need to know where you were when they were taken and what they look like. And in order for me to do that I have to scan your mind. It will only hurt if you try to hide something from me. I promise that I won't go into anything that I don't need to look at." I exsplained. "I trust you" she said moving the hair in front of her face behind her ear. I nodded to Jesse, sitting on the couch and closing my eyes. I raised my hands and put them over Melody's ears just an inch from her skin.
"ostende mihi faciem tuam mentem" I wispered as green stems grew from the plams of my hands and entered Melody's ears. I jerked my head backwards as images flashed three my mind. My eyes glowed a bright green, showing that I was using my magic. I skimmed through Melody's mind, till I got what I needed and pulled away. We both gasped for air, sweat dripping from our forheads. "I got what I needed." I stated before pushing myself onto my feet.
Jesse's POV
Fern wobbled on her feet, before her knees buckled. I quickly jumped over to her and held her up, before she could colaspe onto the ground. "Take it easy, you haven't done a mind search in a long time. " I advised setting her back into the couch. Melody looked between the both of us, with a tiered exspression. "Leaf Storm, take Melody to bed. Once you are well rested we can discuss what we will do next." Fern commanded. Leaf Storm picked Melody up and placed her on her back before walking off.
"You need to rest" I said sitting on the couch next to Fern. "I'll rest later" she said trying to hide th yawn she had. I rolled my eyes before pulling her against my side and getting in a comfortable postiton for her to sleep. "You will sleep" I commanded.
Fern thankfully didn't bother to argue and layed her head on my chest. "Your mean" she yawned before her breath evened and she was asleep.
