We walked into the throne room to see everyone chatting. They all looked to me and down to my bandaged stomach. "Fern, what did you do!?" Katy shouted as she marched to me. "Last year someone tryed to kill me in my sleep and the striked again, this person is using very powerful Black Magic. That's the only way they could have gotten to me by not touching me." I explained and she stopped about a foot away from me her mouth dropped. "We need to catch this guy before he actually kills Fern." Jesse popped in. "This guy isn't just after you Fern." Gary sighed dropping his head. I looked at him before scanning the room. "Where is Melody?" I asked with a worried tone. "Melody gets hit as well but her attacks are mentally not physically. She is in her room resting, before you'll came she was attacked and passed out. She was also hit last year so we just thought it was a one time thing." Katy explained. "Fern only got hit once but it was when she was asleep, what about Melody?" Jesse questioned. "She did she was screening in her sleep." Gary stated. "Everytime I get hit she does as well, the harder I get hit the harder she does." I thought/ spoke out loud.
"So the attacker is only out for you two, but why? You'll have to connection!" Jesse and Gary jinxed. "We do, last year she said she found me by following a light. So that means....." I paused at the realization.
Spinning on my heal I jogged to the door wincing in pain every time the bandages touched my wound. I ran fast down the hall to Melody's room and rushed through the door. Melody looked up to me and smiled and I did the same. "Guess what I figured out" I smirked. She titled her head to the side confused. "Come with me" I said grabbing her hand and dragging her out her room.
We ran past the others who looked at me confused, but came along as we walked through the back exits of the castle. I pulled Melody into the middle of the empty field and pushed her in front of me. "What?" She asked as I looked at her intently. "Melody, open up your hand palm facing to the sky and close your eyes." I commanded and she did as I said. "Now picture a small flame, how it moves, the heat coming from it, how it feels, picture it all in your mind and concertante only on that." I explained.
Melody did as told closing her eyes and focusing. The others gasped, when a small flame formed in the center of Melody's palm. It was small at first but slowly grew bigger till its width was the size of her palm. I smirked, just before the flame disappeared and Melody opened her eyes. "Congrats Melody, your the goddess of flames and my opposite." I announced.
