The past couple of weeks had been the best of my life. Every day I spent with Matt my feeling towards him grew stronger.

I really, really like him. No not just really I’m heads over heels for him.

I tried to promise myself that I wouldn’t because I knew that I would have to leave but you know the saying ‘the heart want what the heart wants’ well it’s actually happened to me.

I’ve never felt this way before about anyone probably because no guy ever made the effort to be with me after they met my dad.

But this summer had been just like the movies.

I never thought anything like this could happen to me but it did.

Right now I’m sitting on a dining chair getting my hair done by Jen I just found out that she’s a hairdresser and beautician; she is getting Madi and I ready for Claire’s wedding, Jen’s cousin.

“You know you make him really happy, I haven’t seen him this happy in years,” Jen said as she curled a strand of my hair.

“Really,” I asked surprised I mean he seemed happy before I came along.

“Yeah you make him so happy, you’re all he ever talks about,” she told me.

I looked out the glass door to him and his dad talking on the back deck.

“You’re very special to him,” Jen continued letting the curl bounce as she let it out.

“He’s really special to me too,” I told Jen.

Jen slipped in a few bobby pins holding my hair stay in place before applying a mountain of hairspray.

“And your all done,” Jen said putting the hairspray on the table next to her.

“Thanks I’m going to get changed,” I told her running off to Madi’s room where my dress was being held hostage. I wasn’t even allowed to take it home when we bought it a couple of days ago she said I would show Matt and ruin the whole surprise.

I walked in finding my dress on her bed. And Madi’s next to mine; hers was a white strapless top with a pink bold belt and the skirt of the dress was sunflowers, it suits her.
