Hayi's POV
We were sitting in the dark room.
Just him and me.
Kyungmin was his name.
I overheard his conversation with kyungwoo. They were brothers.
Tonight he was doing his usual shift watching me; making sure I do not try to escape.I fiddled with the chains tightly secured around my feet, pondering on the world outside this confinement.
I was resting my head on the wall behind me, trying to catch some sleep.
As I slowly ebbed into sleep my head jerked back and forth, then all of a sudden a pair of arms wrapped itself around my waist and legs.
I felt myself being carried into the air.
I opened my eyes and saw the same gentle stare from the man who exchanged my lunch.
Confusion hit me once again as I tried to register what was going on, I then felt myself being lowered down onto a mattress."Sleep," was all he said.
I was too tired to fight back or question his orders so after a few minutes I soon fell asleep.----
Darkness enveloped my vision as I woke up, a few minutes were taken for my eyes to slowly acclimatise to the lack of light.
I made out a figure near my mattress; sloped against the wall. I saw the gentle rising of the chest before it effortlessly went down, he looked peaceful.
Too peaceful.
I slowly shifted my position on the mattress and sat on my buttocks. The chains around my arms clunked together making rattle sounds in the air, this however did not disturb the sleep of the man in front of him. I observed him with wary eyes, and tried to think of whatever possible back story he may have to end up like this. What was his relationship with kyungwoo?
Why did they kidnap me?
It has been two days but no answers have arrived and no contact from the police. My gaze on him deepened as I noticed the changes in his sleeping face.
His eyebrows suddenly becomes animated and moved up and down shifted to the left and right, his lips began to quiver, his nose flared out, the expression he wore was pregnant with fear.
Words of denial escaped from his mouth. His hands began to curl into a fist, his breathing increased and without me knowing my hand extended out and touched his arm.Everything halted to a stop. His eyes slowly opened and I remained my contact on his arm. His head slowly tilted my way and we stayed in the position, with my arm resting on his arm.
To break the silence I whispered "it's okay, it's all a dream,"
I do not know why I am offering comforting words to my kidnapper.
Out of pity?
To pay back for his act of kindness?
I do not know and I was not expecting any response from him.
However I did.He nodded and touched my arm with his hand. He tightened his grip, enough for my skin to tingle under the warmth radiating from its skin.
I decided to test the waters, "what did you dream of?"
His eyes scanned around the room and back to my eyes.
I sensed a moment of vulnerability exuding from his eyes, then suddenly a shift occurred.
"We should not be talking, hyung will kill me," he suddenly detached himself from the contact we shared and walked out of the room.
----
What seemed like minutes passed, then the door reopened with a figure slowly making his way to me. In his left hand was a plastic bag presumably holding my meal. The bag was dropped in front of me.
"Eat,"
It was a different voice, the tone was harsher, deeper, pregnant with foreboding.
Unlike the man with the gentle stare this voice was heavy with malice, it offered no solace. The door closed once more.
----
Powder was gently patted on my cheeks, I felt the multiple layers of artificial covering building up on my face.
My waist is constricted by a corset that has been forcefully put on, my feet struggling to breathe under the tight leather shoes that entraps my toes.
I'm in a fluffy pink dress, my hair is curled, my face is caked with makeup.
