Hopping in the car I waved one last time to my mum. I knew she would miss Taylor and me very much. I felt bad for leaving her but I really want to see the world. She wouldn't see us until the end of the summer and even then Ally, Eric, and I hadn't applied for school yet.Taylor on the other hand had to return for her senior year. So she would defiantly see her again soon.

Our first stop we all decided was New York. We all want to see time square lit up at night and us girls want to do some major shopping before we hit the country side. The excitement of our trip got to me and all of a sudden I found myself joining Taylor and Ally in singing Can't Hold Us by Macklemore. I even felt myself car dancing. Up in the front seat Ally turned the music up louder causing Eric to sigh.

"You guy's can't sing so can you stop" Eric groaned.

No one replied to him we all just started singing louder enjoying the feeling of freedom that we had. Some people looked annoyed at us as we passed but most seemed to catch our good moods and smiled. Little kids pointed at us to their parents giggling at the funny teenagers. Our singing stopped as soon as the song was over and for that im sure Eric was glad for. The ride to New York seemed silent after that. We all were doing our own thing Eric was driving, Ally sleeping, and Taylor and I were listening to music.

I must have dosed off because when I looked up we were driving through time square traffic. Horns beeping and people yelling were mostly heard but that's okay because we are here.

'How long are we staying?' I asked.

"Just tonight and tomorrow we'll drive to California and stop at each state we pass through" Ally said holding up a list of the things we had to do.

We continued driving through the traffic to open road Eric had taken a detour through times square. We are actually heading to a motel. Although Eric and Ally are rich their parents gave us all a strict budget that we had to stick to, so we decided on the cheapest place to sleep we could find. We all walked into the check in area bags in hand and waited for someone to return to the desk. So we could get our room keys. Ally and Eric were sharing a room and Taylor and I. After about five minutes an old women walked behind the desk. Her hair had gone long ago turned silver and she had kind blue eyes.

"Are you all checking in?' She asked

"Yes. We need two rooms please" I answered.

"Alright deary for how many nights?'

"Just one" I said.

"Okay. Here's your room keys. You guys have rooms 105 and 106. Please enjoy your stay here"

Walking out of the check in lobby I figured the rooms would be crappy but for only a hundred a night it was a decent deal. In the room I found out my initial thought to be true the room was very crappy. The rugs on the floor were so dirty you could smell it. The bathroom was even worse. The ceiling was covered in mold and behind the toilet seat clusters of mold grew too. Although I will say the beds smelled clean and the pillows looked nice. Really if it came down to it though I knew I'd probably end up sharing the table with Taylor Looking at the clock it read 10:10 most of the stores would be open until two in the morning. I found no need to rush. I refused to take a shower so instead I replied my deodorant and changed my clothes. Then added perfume. Taylor did the same. We grabbed our wallets and left the room.

"Ally, Eric we're ready" Taylor screamed.

"Coming!" Ally yelled back.

Suddenly the door was thrown open and both Ally and Eric emerged. Looks of disgust clear on their face. Looking I realized they had done the same thing as Taylor and I.
