Recap: A growl rumbled throughout the room and startled me to look up directly into the alpha’s blue eyes. I sucked in a large breath as my wolf howled in joy at the sight of her true mate. He seemed to realize what I was because he began to smile but then he grew angry. Maybe he didn’t want a mate just as much as I don’t won’t one I thought.
“I don’t want or need a mate right now,” he growled at me.
Even though I agreed with him it didn’t make it hurt less.
“Like I want a mate right now any way,” I retorted
I'll admit that even though I wasn't really looking to fall head over heals for any guy let alone a mate but it still stung that he didn't want me. Like seriously if you found the man you were supposed to live happily ever after with you'd probably think it sucked that he didn't want you. Now if he hadn't been an ass I probably could have looked passed the fact that I'd been hurt in the past because I know not every man is the same. This man pissed me off. Hell I don't even know his full name and he already made me mad.
"Alright so can we go now?" I questioned trying to sound bored and uninterested and also trying to hide the fact that my pride had been severely wounded.
"No. You have to stay," was his short gruff reply.
"So, everyone else can leave but me?" I said.
He nodded.
"I honestly do not see the fairness in that. Like what am I supposed to do here by myself and why do they get to go free. It wasn't even my god damn idea to stop on your land. In fairness you really should just hold Eric hostage," I finished with a tiny smile.
"Way to throw me under the damn bus Caitlin," Eric snapped in my mind.
Nick tried to hold in a small laugh at my rant.
"Are you stupid? You seriously don't understand that for the two of us to be happy we have to be near each other?" He growled.
I frowned at the insult throw at my intelligence. I should probably bring up the fact that I held a GPA of a 3.9.
"So we all get to stay?" I said slowly.
Again he just nodded.
I was still slighted pissed off at him for not being nicer when he found out that we were mates but he was letting us all stay on his land so I couldn't complain about that. Well I could I mean I didn't want to spend my entire summer in Montana.
"I feel like we should all introduce ourselves," Ally said with a smile.
"I'm Ally."
"The other blonde is Caitlin. The one with brown hair is Taylor. Those two are sisters by the way. Lastly there's Eric my twin," Ally said pointing as she named us.
We waited in silence for a small moment until Taylor said "now you introduce yourselves."
Nick gave us a cheery smile as he said "grumpy over there aka the alpha is William. We call him Will and well everyone else is outside or in other rooms in the pack house, which is where you guys will be staying.I'll actually show you guys to your rooms."
We waited as Nick walked over to the door and lead us out but as we were leaving I couldn't help but take a quick look at Will. His head was bent so I couldn't see his blue eyes but I knew they'd probably be dark with anger. His dark hair fell slightly over his tanned face and I smiled at the slight muscles bulging under his shirt. Let me be honest here and say when a guy looks like he has just been inflated like Spongebob Square Pants in that episode where he is trying to throw anchors it's just not hot. It actually disturbs me when a guy looks like that.
