IMPORTANT AUTHORS NOTE AT THE END!!!

My heart pounded as the plane started to slowly descend. I could feel the wheels slide into position for landing. Taking deep breaths my hands clung tightly against the arm rest. Landings are the worst thing ever. Once the plane reached the ground relief rushed throughout my body. My clenched hands slowly became unlatched from the arm rests as my body slumped in the chair. Slowly I turned my head looking out the window to see the beautiful Boston airport.

A smile was brought to my face realizing that I would be seeing my Uncle, aunt and cousin after 3 long years. I quickly put all my stuff back in my backpack just about two minutes before we were supposed to be getting off the plane. The plane drove over to the gate and ‘parked’ letting all of the passengers get off. I slung my backpack over my right shoulder and picked up my Green Bay Packers hoodie slinging it over my other shoulder. I walked down the tunnel and out the gate to where the main part of the airport was. I followed the halls to the area where you can meet family and looked around. And there he was, my uncle Wilson.

He was standing in the middle of the room looking for someone, probably me. I ran dodging all the people that were in my way. Once I got to him he had realized it was me, therefore, I was welcomed with opened arms. He still smelt of tropical air freshener, even after three years.

“Hey darling, long time no see,” He said pulling away.

“Hey Uncle Wilson. I missed ya,” I replied looking up at him.

Uncle Wilson is quite a tall man, about 6’5. He also has very silver hair and a deep deep voice. “Are you ready to go get your stuff so I can drop you off at your new apartment?”

“Yes, Thanks again for paying for the first payment,” I said as we walked towards luggage pick up.

“Honey it’s no problem. It wasn't that much anyways. Besides, what’s family for,” He asked putting a hand on my shoulder.

“Buying me apartments,” I joked. He only laughed. By now we were at the luggage claim waiting for my bag to come out.

“So how have you been,” I asked watching the bags come out.

“Good. Been kinda busy with work but we’re all good,” He said picking up my bag as it came out.

“Alright, let’s get headed to my place,” I said with a smile as he carried my bag towards the car.

“Well your Aunt and Mason already moved everything in when the truck came with your stuff,” Wilson informed me with a smile as we got in to the car and buckled. Sitting back I looked up at the ceiling of the car taking a deep breath finally noticing that I had made it safely into Boston. After a short drive the car came to a stop in a parking structure making me to look around and take in my surroundings. There were cars such as explorer’s, highlanders, etcetera. When Uncle Wilson took the keys out him and I got out walking over to the part that was attached to the apartment building. Wilson grabbed my bag and led me to my room on the 15th floor. 1504 for my room number, Wilson had told me a while back when he first had rented it out for me.

“Alright Jen, I’ll let you do the honor of pressing the floor button,” my uncle informed me as we stood in the elevator.

“OK,” I replied with a large smile on my face while leaning forward and pushing the button.

The elevator doors closed and the elevator started moving. I looked around the elevator seeing that the carpet of the elevator was nice, new and red. The rest of the elevator looked as if it could have been a spaceship meaning it was all metal and very shiny, beautiful even. When the smooth moving elevator came to a stop letting the doors open.

Now being anxious I almost ran out of the elevator and to apartment 1504. My uncle quickly trailed behind me with the key. He put it in the door, unlocking it, letting it open. When I saw what was inside a HUGE smile was brought to my face.
