I was walking back into the apartment building when my phone started ringing.

“Uhh Hello,” I mumbled pushing the door opened while walking into the hall that leads to the elevator.

“Hey there pretty Lady,” Brad’s voice flirted as he spoke into the phone.

“Oh Hey Brad! What’s up,” I asked pressing the up button of the elevator; the door opened right away.

“I was wondering if you wanted to hang out… Maybe uhh go to the Aquarium,” He offered kind of nervously.

“SURE! I’d love to,” I replied stepping into the elevator and pressing floor 15 , making the doors close.

“Ok, I’ll swing by your apartment and then we’ll leave. What apartment are you,” He asked.

“I’m in 1504,” I informed as the elevator started moving.

“Alright be right there.” With that he hung up.

The elevator was going up and what do you know? It stopped on 14. There stood Brad in blue jeans and a black button up shirt. He did look quite handsome… If I say so myself.

“Well hey there Jen,” Brad greeted with a smirk on his face while stepping into the elevator and standing next to me.

“Hey there shortie,” I replied realizing he was only 1 inch taller than me.

“Aye! You’re shorter than me Jen! No fair,” Brad whined as the elevator stopped and we walked out.

“Well, you’re short for a hockey Player! What else can I say?!?! Could I call you a shrimp? NO! You don’t look like a shrimp at all,” I complained back.

“Fine,” He grumbled under his breath while walking with me over to the door of my apartment.

I quickly pulled my keys out of my pocket and slid one into the lock; unlocking it. I pushed the door making it swing open. It revealed my still new apartment. Brad went straight over to the couch jumping onto his back with his hands behind his head while I walked to my bedroom. I quickly ran to my closet and put on a decent looking shirt compared to the old tank top I was wearing now. When I was done I shuffled out of my room and into the living room. Brad was still lying on his back staring up at the ceiling.

“You have a nice place,” Brad said not looking away from the ceiling.

“Thank you!”

“So why did you move out here,” Brad asked moving on the couch so that he was sitting up.

“Oh, I guess I wanted a change in scenery,” I replied while sitting ‘crisscross apple sauce’ on my reclining chair.

“Cool! So you wanna head out? We can grab dinner on our way there,” Brad informed standing up and walking over to me to help me up.

I gladly took his hand as he pulled me up. “Thank you sir!”

“It was no problem ma’am. It’s my job,” Brad joked.

“Oh really?!?! I thought you were a hockey player! I’m confused now,” I joked with him.

“Well Little Lady I guess you thought right,” He replied with a large smile.

“Ok, Brad, I think we should get going,” I told Brad.

“Alright! Let’s go,” Brad said holding out one of his arms.

I gladly linked arms with him and we were off.
